Verge, why do you like Mykel Williams?

I really believe Jeanty is a big reach in the top 10.  He doesn’t have great size or speed and I really question what he would have done in the SEC.  He needs to go to a team with a great OL or he will be pretty average.  Hampton has the size and speed and he might end up being the better player

RB is a deep position I wouldn't mess with one in the first.

Almost guaranteed that Jeanty and Hampton will not end up being the top 2 RB's in this draft. I would honestly be surprised if they were top 5.

Certainly possible.  This draft is crazy deep at RB.

I'm not sure about that.  I think Hampton will be pretty good.

They both could be but this draft is so crazy deep at RB. All it will really take is just 2-3 other guys being in better spots.

The more I read about Mykel the more I like him

He really doesn't have a weakness as a prospect.  If he wants to be great he will be a monster.  I really like him.  I still like Jalen Walker a little more.  He is a special talent and special person.  That man can lead a defense mentally

Saw this today...

Cincinnati Bengals (Trade with Panthers)

Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Trade details: Bengals send DE Trey Hendrickson and a first (No. 17) to the Panthers for a first (No. 8 and a third (No. 74)

We pick up Williams at 17. *****.

I don't love that Hendrickson is 30 but if we could get an instant  impact top tier plug and play guy and still get Mykel Williams and basically only give up a 3rd? I mean... damn.

But we all know that this would basically guarantee that Jalon Walker is the next coming of LT because that's just how Panthers luck goes. LOL

Do we even have enough to sign this guy?

    • You can't keep around a former #1 pick as the backup to his replacement because he wasn't good enough. I think he has two career paths he can take.   The first is as that guy who signs with a new team every year to be the gap starter and/or backup depending on that team's situation.  Think guys like Jameis, Wilson, Brissett the last few years, as he'll be a game manager for them while they try to re-build the roster. The other is as a really good long term backup QB for one team.  He's smart and will make for a great addition to the QB room in film study and game prep.  He won't be a stud replacement if the starter goes down, but he'd be better than most other backups and you know he'll be ready to play when called upon.
    • This is really an offseason topic, but its better than talking in circles about Bryce
