Would not be mad. He's my #1 preference out of decently likely to be available guys. I'd still listen to any incoming trade offers but I'd be plenty comfortable taking Walker if none were incoming or none were enticing.

he would raise the defense immediately, how high is his ceiling, I dont know but he would have an immediate impact and we simply cannot afford another physically gifted RAS project

Yeah I love his intangibles and he seems easy to root for. As long as he doesn’t totally bust I think I’m at peace with it. I just hope we don’t force him to be an edge rusher if he’s not having success there at the NFL level.

Next to a trade back this option would get me most excited. Some draft gurus love him some (PFF) hate him.

PFF grade him as a linebacker which includes his coverage and run defense grades, which are terrible. Purely as an edge he grades out as one of the best (like 83.6 or something).

If we draft him we need to make him a full time pass rusher.
