I think the Panthers are feeling the effects of a draft that’s deep and balanced in the middle. They probably believe they can get a comparable player later while picking up extra draft picks in the process.

Yeah I agree.  I'm not sure why this is so hard to grasp...

People are so worried about being “fleeced” that people just need to look at the bigger picture if you make a move and select a great or good player no cares look at the Rams last year. They got mocked on draft night for that trade with us, but it turned out their pick turned into a great player and no one cares anymore.

This draft is full of 2nd rounder worthy players that no one wants to take in the top 20

Never be desperate. When you're desperate you're gonna get fleeced. We shouldn't be desperate to trade down. Be willing to take the best player on your board if there isn't an appealing offer.

Watch something like trading #8 to Sean Payton in Denver for #20 and #85 or something equally awful.

Man that really would be awful.

The Rams have a front office that generally has an eye for talent in the draft. The Panthers can move up and down all they want. The results say they can't draft worth a poo to save their lives if they needed to. And Dan Morgan until proven otherwise is not an upgrade in that area. If the argument is more picks will give them a better chance to not fug things up that at least has some level of logic behind it. Certainly it's better than different variations of comments that are basically akin to telling folks here they think they know more than the experts ie the Panthers brass.

You and I are basically saying the same thing. Draft the right people and no one will care.

I mean, that team and organization is depleted of talent and kind of headed towards the bottom. But I think the dud has some skills.  Head coach in college, with NFL cred too. Tough situation he is taking on.    And I hate to say, Atlanta.  Stefanski might be unleashed lol. Still has a QB deficit though. He’ll get a ton of owner support I think. Blank badly wants Matt Ryan to succeed.    I was cold on Tennessee but they are requiring Saleh to hire an experienced OC and they have some pieces on defense. It might be a little better than I expected at first. Won’t be great anytime soon though.     Harbaugh is proven and a lot of the NFC East is pretty shaky.    I think Baltimore could have fuged up. They apparently are allowing their QB to rule the roost and that ia really a suspect strategy.  OTOH that QB is very potent on the field and could make a mediocre coach look decent.     I am close to there on Buffalo, as far as did they fug up. I am not real optimistic for them, but could be totally wrong.    Pittsburg is the most interesting because of their incredible hiring success. One of these times it ain’t gonna work out so smooth for them. I mean they are kind of due. Will it be this time?     Arizona? Graveyard.  Las Vegas? Probably the same thing. But they might resurrect NE mojo in the desert. I guess it could happen.
