this pick makes zero fuging sense, you dumbfugs just literally drafted him last year, the bryce coddling has to fuging stop

He’s nothing like Legette as a prospect. Legette was very raw. Had 12 total TDs in 5 college seasons and had 1500 yards for his whole 5 year college career.  Tet has nearly averaged that as a Sophomore and Junior. Hes not as athletic but much bigger and much more natural as a receiver.

Trade back into the first possible?

My wife took the kids to to grandma's for tonight. I'm on my last 3 day weekend before my busy season where I work 70-80 hours a week. And she she got Vinny's wife gave my boy Vinny orders to choke me out if we do something stupid so please no.

I have no concerns about Tet's skills, and the Huddle would have said all these same things about drafting Mike Evans. My only concern is what we're going to do about our historically bad defense. Signing a couple DTs doesn't fix it.

Mike Evans was a strong, physical receiver in college that took advantage of his height and strength to get open. Tet does not play similar to Mike Evans at all IMO (at least in college).

Still worry about his ability to beat the press and his top end speed. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't love the pick. Granted, I didn't really love anyone at 8

No edge would turn this team around this year. I think it’d better to stay put and draft whoever you get.

we obviously didnt love walker at 8 and like others have said, this draft is quite deep on defense. no real top end talent after Carter and tons of quality guys will be there for our 2nd. i think we go edge or LB next

Can I please make a request to the mods and have this thread title changed to his full first name?

I know our insiders on our Arizona page get upset when they see all the NFL people call him Tet, so I have a feeling it's not a nickname he likes, let's respect our new superstar.

This may have only been poo'd so far, but I did just ask on my Arizona board and they said yes, he doesn't like the nickname and has said he feels it's disrespectful to his mom who named him Tetairoa.

So, poo on this if you want, but that's what the case is here, just passing along to our fan base.

like I said before i am going to play nice .

anyway i have wanted for quiet some time now to trade down & draft a WR (Golden) in the first of course that did not just happen but at the same time we still got a WR / playmaker for Bryce Young & this offense

I seriously am having  trouble getting excited about him.

Oh well.

i think its that and the overall team building philosophy for most folks.   You have the most expensive line in the nfl, you have now spent 2 firsts on wr's its almost like they know something we dont about bryce

LOL. Two first round wr picks in a row. Tepper is really trying to convince the world he was right with the Bryce Young pick.

In the position the team is in you have to support your shaky young QB. Either he flourishes or you can prove that you tried and he’s not cutting it. Bryce will have no excuses and they can move on if he stinks and a new QB would be effective with some weapons.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
