can't wait to see what this GENERATIONAL WIDE RECEIVER we reached on at 8 does for us. Because we can't stop anyone, and even less so now.

Yeah let’s take a player at LB at 8 who was not rated a top 10 talent over a WR who is a top 10 talent.
There were NO players left at 8 besides T-Mac who was worth a top 10 pick and no one wanted to pay our price for moving back.

I hope he proves to be the best player available. No matter what we weren't addressing all of our issues over the course of one off-season.

I'm sorry, but this is not a "shocking" release. I half-expected us to cut him back in March after we signed Rozeboom.

I'm a Trevin Wallace fan and think he can be a solid player for us, but he's far from proven. I also have serious doubts about Rozeboom, so I'm not saying ILB isn't a pretty massive need right now, but to act like Jewel being cut is some huge shock is a little weird, IMO. And I didn't even realize he was as hurt as he apparently is.

I expect us to add another veteran before the season, but realistically this is a hole we're just going to have to work around until the offseason.

I didn’t necessarily think he was gonna get cut but I did think Rozeboom was viewed as an upgrade/replacement. I suspect the FO was concerned about the lengthy concussion protocol and wanted to mitigate this.

He's been in concussion protocol for seven months? Jesus

Yeah...ouch 😕

Hate that. He's a full throttle guy, always gives his best.

They said the door is open for him to return but after that long a stay in the protocol, I'd have to think it might be time to start thinking about retiring.

??? A MLB didn’t even go in the first round this year. What did you want us to do, take Schwesinger at 8?

Best we can do is wait for cuts at this point.  Can't trot Rozeboom out there as a starter

I don’t know. They may have gotten a hidden gem with Rozeboom. I will take these stats.

2024 Season: In 2024, he started 11 games for the Rams, playing 74% of defensive snaps and 42% of special teams snaps, according to NBC Sports. He recorded 135 total tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception.

I am consistently amused and perplexed by the portion of the fanbase that seems to believe that a "worst in franchise history" roster has a quick solution.

Even many years into this mess, it's going to take time to remedy.

maybe renting a Bobby Wagner might of made more sense than thanking Adam Theilen though back in March if they knew this.

It was a necessary pick given our circumstances.

Reaching for a linebacker at 8 would have been rough.

Part of our problem is that we've been focusing on trying to put the best bad team that we possibly can on the field instead of focusing on building the best foundation to build on that we can. Making short term decisions to try to duct tape together a competitive roster. The end result is that you're going to suck now and you're going to suck later. I hope we're watching us transition into an organization that realizes that's a hopeless approach.
