Can we pin this as a reminder to people overreacting about training camp plays/stats? (Joking… kind of) It’s also a way for players to build timing/chemistry. Turnovers and misfires are all part of the process.

No. Overreactions will rule the day. You take your fuging reasonable takes and just go fug right off.

I distinctly remember before our 2015 season there was talk about training camp and how it wasn't going great, and then their was the Cam Norman fight. From the outside it looked like chaos but we had something truly special that year.

Remember last year when Bryce "torched" the Jets then had one of the worst two game back to backs in panthers history?

I didn't go but I heard that attending a Matt Rhule TC it was obvious he wasn't an NFL coach

Might point being is take it all with a grain of salt some things come to fruition and some things don't

While we're at it, pin it for all the preseason games as well! While everyone wants to "win" preseason, there is a reason those games don't count. A lot is going on... roster battles, team building familiarity with each other, rookies getting used to NFL speed/talent.

Bryce didn't torch the Jets at all. It was consistently short and dump off passes that moved the team from the 20 to the 40 and stalled, every time.

Eh, preseason games definitely do count to some degree. Really need to look like a competent team at times in preseason games. I'll agree about the camp practices though, and JJ spelled it out nicely.

I agree, I remember freaking out the first preseason game against the Jets in Bryce's rookie year when our Offensive Line looked like swiss cheese.  It was a bad omen

This might apply to some other teams but I don’t see it for our Panthers. We've started out sluggish or horrific the last 2 seasons. While we don’t need to "win" in preseason we certainly need reps and to look fairly competent. This team cannot have anymore of these flat out ass whoopings when the season opener finally rolls around. And unfortunately that's been the norm the last few seasons.

this is what I feel about pff, they have no clue on each players responsibilities.

Or if the coach told them to freelance on a certain play call, or if a player checks out of zone pre-snap. They just do not know and judging/grading on what you do not know is __________ .

    • Got to talk to Tiny Lister once back when I worked for AT&T.  He was a nice guy.
    • The team signed undrafted rookie JJ Weaver from Kentucky. The 25-year-old Weaver played six seasons in college (with injury waivers), and had 21.5 sacks. He was a three-time team captain for the Wildcats. To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers released outside linebacker Amare Barno. Barno, a sixth-round pick in 2022, tore his ACL late in the 2023 season and began last year on the physically unable to perform list. He had 3.0 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 29 games. Sad to see. He seemed to have a lot of potential when he was drafted. Injuries really derailed him though.
    • Ok so how does this make sense for Blake?  Honestly I like it for us.  I’m really high on Blake’s future like I’m sure the Canes FO is.  If he continues along the path he’s on, we’ll have a top 6 forward on a KK contract.
