The issue is it's a 17 game season. Anything can happen. Bryce can miss a few games. He can hit a wall again and then you're faced with the dilemma of sit him or let him work through it. Either way Dalton is in no way shape or form an answer. They milked that thumb sprain for all it was worth last year. Confirmed anything anyone needed to know about Dalton.

I think Plummer is that guy here. You have your starter, your washed up vet backup, your young development guy. Pretty normal setup. If we go to Andy we’re screwed anyway.

Absolutely inexcusable for the franchise that to my knowledge still has the worst or one of the worst win percentages in all of sports the last few years. And the fact that anyone with an ounce of self respect would excuse it is pitiful.

Watching Andy tonight is also another reason I was a big proponent of drafting a young QB the last two drafts.  I wanted Milton last year and Shadeur this year.  All respect to Andy, a long time starter and quality player in this league, but he is on the decline, looks not great tonight, and Plummer is just gross.  Would’ve been nice to have another young QB to develop and be excited to watch grow.
