Again, I am not talking about the coaching strategy for preseason. I am talking about the way media and fans portray or view preseason results. You quoted my post bruv and you have now twice misinterpreted what I meant. I get it, you are disappointed after last week's showing. But know this, Dave Canales and Dan Morgan are not concerned with your glimmer of hope. Also, I heard and viewed them looking really good in the joint practice. I am disappointed that it didn't translate to Saturday, but I will never truly freak out about this team until they look bad into week 3 or 4 of the regular season.

You said you were talking about how fans and media perceive the preseason so that's what I was talking about but now you're saying that you're talking about how it's viewed from within the organization? I mean, okay. But you could've just started there and then there would've been no misinterpretation.

I think drawing a direct line from seeing coaches/players visibly smiling to being mad at the team is just a symptom of the anger you have at our situation.

There is nothing wrong with what you are describing. The issue is that the results are poor and have been for a long time. That's just sort of what it is at the moment and it puts us as the fans on edge.

IDGAF what the atmosphere they are creating is, if it's producing results. There are ample ways to skin that cat and different successful coaches have had different approaches.

I am pretty jaded.

Hunt is the dude on offense.  Taylor is a bit more of the quiet but respected vet.

Brown is also more on the quiest side, same goes with Horn.  Don't really have a voice on defense.  Wallace wants to be but he needs to keep developing as a player.

That’s my read as well.  If Wallace wants it, it’s there to take.

Football professionals can’t be motivated to do their job. Great

To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.

It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.

I just follow the science guys.

You don’t have to be 6’ and above to be a leader. People respect assertiveness + intelligence. He can get this done if he brings back that guy from the last few games last year and he is consistent in that attitude

Mind posting a link to a scientific study that states leadership is genetically linked to one's height?

I respectfully disagree. I'm 5'8" tall and I've led men and women that were a lot taller than me - in the military and in football. Actually was voted Team Captain junior and senior years in high school. People respect competence and talent/ability. Now if he's bad at his job, that could actually impact his ability to lead. You can't be out there telling guys to play better when you're the worst player on the field.

I mean, everyone can work on it but this team natural vocal leaders with an edge.  We know what isn't Bryce's DNA.  We have seen the Panthers before try to put that on someone that isn't that.  It just doesn't work.  And he was the biggest freak ever to put on a Panther uniform and a HOF player.

the MAIN reason the org team can't be looking at Bryce to take that on (it's not height).....is Bryce isn't even good at his job yet.  That's sort of required.  Then add the personality aspect in play.

I gotta be honest, all of the talk of team/vocal/by example leader is pretty pointless. We see snippets at best so we only know second or third hand about that kind of poo unless it is blantantly obvious. Cam was obvious because he was Cam.

So we really are purely speculating on if he is a wet blanket or incapable or whatever. We literally have very, very, VERY little idea.

That's not a subject that we can effectively evaluate, IMO. The on field stuff, 100%.

Yep. We have no idea what Bryce Young is like on the field or in meeting rooms. None. We know how he is in interviews. That's it. We're starting to hear about his true personality coming out in practices, jawing with Jaycee and Mike Jack. No way he could be doing all of that while he was stinking up the field the way he was rookie season. You just look stupid and people will call you out on that ish. Keep playing like he did at the end of last season, and we'll see the real Bryce come out. Convert back to the first 2 games, and we'll see him slink back into his shell.
