The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports “financial hurdles remain before any potential Adam Thielen-Vikings reunion can occur.”
Russini points out that in March, the Panthers bumped up Thielen’s 2025 salary. The 35-year-old receiver comes with a cap hit just north of $10.108 million this season, per Over the Cap, and the Vikings have already been working to increase their cap flexibility with the trade of Harrison Phillips earlier in the week. Thielen would be a natural fit in the Vikings’ offense if a trade is able to get done, but there’s still plenty to work out here.

It seems like we're keeping Thielen

Apparently discussing a day 3 pick

i don’t agree with reading Thielen considering our WR room is a massive question mark BUT we’ll save 8 million by doing so and we just decided to pay Moton so we could benefit to save some cap elsewhere. Plus we aren’t winning the SB this year

for a better draft pick I bet we have to eat his salary or a large chunk of it

Personally I hope we hang on to Thielen. He's worth more to us than the 5th/6th round pick we'd get back.

I'd rather trade him once we know he's become completely redundant.  It's a guess at best right now.

The coaching staff can't wait for these other WRs to step up and push AT off the field.

If he is the one helping Bryce read defenses, do we really want him gone when we still lost to Tampa 48-14 close to the end of the season? Do we want him gone? I'd say no.
