Official Panthers Roster Cuts (Updated)

Did not expect Renfrow to get cut nor did I expect the LBs after Wallace/Rozeboom/Cherelus to be just Martin-Scott.

Looks like they were able to make room for Incoom/Johnson, Crumedy/Jackson, and Evans/Mitchell though at the expense of Renfrow, a 10th OL, and a 5th ILB. I wonder if Evero plans to kick any of the OLBs inside in some situations?

That or maybe they're looking to claim some bodies off of the waiver wire and wait until it's "safer" to move Johnson and/or Crumedy to the PS?

9 oline with 3 Te's is what I expect to see.

Hubbard, Dowdle, Etienne for sure I think. Dunno if they keep Blackshear or use someone else for returns. It is possible they keep four rb with Blackshear just for ST, but I think they end up cutting him and going with youth at PR and KR.

👀

Missed that Renfrow over Tremayne part but did ok otherwise..lol

Just now, Bear Hands said:

I usually don’t dog on a position group too hard…. but our LB group is probably ranked #96 if you combine every NFL LB room aggregated for the past 3 seasons.

Trevin has a monster opportunity but we 1 million percent need to find some NFL level talent at ILB

That's going to have to wait until the next draft unfortunately.

Chris Paul Jr is worth a look.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
