Thielen traded

Sink or swim time for Bryce. They want to know what they've got and now they'll know. Canales has plenty of leeway and is safe for a few more seasons.

My feelings about trading Thielen never had anything to do with Bryce, it was always 100% about having Thielen around to mentor the young WRs.

Right now, our Top 4 WRs are all 1st or 2nd year players and so is our 6th.  That's so dumb, you needed someone like Thielen in there to help mentor the room, we really need to bring in a seasoned vet who is a "pro's pro" type of guy (or just bring back Renfrow, as again, it's not about on the field for me, it's about off).

This was not an easy deal for Carolina to do. Panthers valued Adam Thielen's third-down savvy, so they asked for a lot in return initially, which stalled the deal a bit. But Carolina might still be a year away from full contention mode, so getting draft capital helps.

Yeah I'm sure that 5th round pick is going to get us over the edge

Let's say you have 1 car.  It has a bunch of miles but it still runs.  Its not worth much but you need a car to get to work, go to the grocery store, etc.  Someone offers you 200 dollars for the car, which is more than anyone else will offer you.  Is that then a deal you would take?

You’re suggesting our offense can not run without Theilen? Man, we’re in worse shape than I thought.

I wish our front office would worry about doing the fans a solid every once in a while.  Good for AT but is this the make a wish foundation or a competitive football team?

Yeah, I actually lost respect for Thielen and his people after this.

And you're right, WE as fans always end up losing

I can't say safe for a few more seasons. If this goes bad enough, like a total retrograde, this thing is going to get blown up, and hopefully completely.

it makes perfect sense if at and his wife wanted out, which is pretty clear now that is case

Honestly, if the two of them wanted out after getting a raise this offseason to come back, then I'd rather have IR'd him with a papercut and just paid him to not be able to play this year.

They only wanted out because the Vikings badly needed a WR, doesn't mean we should have bent over and let the Vikings shove their horn up our ass

Renfrow might just be coming back on a vet minimum...

It's a 4th round pick 2 drafts from now, when we'll also be giving up a 5th round pick in that same draft.

While then getting a 5th in the next draft and giving up what will be a 6th or 7th rounder depending how well Thielen does.

Which means we likely just traded Thielen away to move up 20 or so picks on the 3rd day of back to back drafts.

It makes no sense

Conditional 7th could mean they don’t get it at all, right?

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
