Well that fugging ship has sailed and is shipwrecked in the fugging Atlantic.

At some point either move on or go cheer for the Texans.

Bryce Young is going to be the starting QB here for quite a few more years...

With the overwhelming amount of mental anguish that seems to cause you, would finding another team not be the better option??

I'm sure the Texans would be more than happy to accept a CJ Stroud truther ex-Panthers fan.

Because, and I mean this genuinely as a Day 1 Panthers fan, WTF do you actually enjoy watching about this team?

Is it just hate watching? Is it to "prove" you're right about something? Is is simply to troll people on a message board?

I seriously would like to try to understand what it's about, b/c it's antithetical to everything I've ever understood Fandom to be about. I genuinely dont get it...

I get not liking everything your team does, but when you get to the point where you spew negativity at every single thing, the issue is more inward than outward I'm afraid.

Anyway, for the most part I really enjoy the banter, but it really does seem like your posts either drift towards covert trolling or irrational negativity.

I just hope you actually find some satisfaction in your personal life bc it certainly seems like the Panthers cause you nothing but mental anguish...

BY shouldn't be the guaranteed starter for a few more years unless he earns it. That's how bad teams stay bad. If he does well, great. If he doesn't, it's time to look at the draft again. He's a sunk cost at this point. We, meaning coaches, have to be honest about his progression as a QB. If he's not the guy, as painful as it might be, bite the bullet and move on.

I want Bryce to be successful. That means the Panthers can be successful. I just don't want to be attached for another contract just because we're afraid to look for something better.

I get your point. And of course that could be the case. As it is with any QB.

But I can tell you this, after the 2nd half of last season, it will take a complete collapse for the organization to pull the plug after this season.

My above point it, the entire organization is behind Bryce and thinks he is the guy. I do too.

And while I understand & respect the opinion of people not on board with BY9, this fixation and nonsense over a draft that happened over 27 months ago is insane.

Like, that MF horse has been beaten to death multiple times, resurrected, and shot in the head again and left for dead. Leave it in the effing ground.

We got much better things to discuss IMHO with the 2025 season getting ready to start.

A season I'm excited about

rent free comes to mind here

and one has to be mental if you truly believe that Young is locked into starting here "quite a few more years"

You are watching a different qb then the rest of us

Agreed.

For me if I'm the Panthers. QB is in the upcoming draft plans no matter what. We need to develop a young QB2. The position is too important for the team to continue treating it as inconsequential. Now what round that QB is drafted in will be dependent on how Bryce Young looks. If he plays his ass off throughout the season then we can swing on a mid round pick. But if Bryce is average at best or has another set of games where he plays really poorly but then has some better games down the stretch then we should heavily consider swinging on a QB early. In that situation you have simply got to bring in real competition. Let them duke it out in camp 2026.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
