ESPN and Cam Newton

Is he a permanent co-host now or just appearing even more regularly. His podcast plus first take every day might be too much as well.

I sort of hate to see him jump onto the painfully bad and sinking First Take show.  People basically hate watch these show for bad takes at this point.

Good for Cam. I don't have any interest in watching anything on ESPN though. In general the First Take format is incredibly stale.

I agree, I don't think it's a very good place to hitch your wagon.  However, Cam does have some cringe-worthy takes at times so he will probably fit right in.

I would much prefer he follow in the footsteps of Nate Burleson or his teammate Greg Olsen than chase the Steven A's of the world.

worst part of the show is Stephen A.   They should just get a moderator to play the role as such (not Molly) to keep some former athletes on task as they debate set topics.  That's ultimately why the podcast stuff works.  The Stephen A, Skip component...which is the worst part.

He’s going to crush though. I know people hate on it but Cam the enigma just attracts eyeballs. We know all about that.

ESPN has a whole is just hot takes and the dumbest takes possible. That is why it sucks so badly. They intentionally drag everything down to a lightspeed retarded level so that it is unwatchable.

No jounalism, no nuance, no in depth analysis....just idiot after idiot blabbering/shouting about some hot button issue that they really have no real strong opinions about until the camera is rolling.

They have essentially turned it into the View. I was over my mother's house doing some yardwork and had went in to get water. I hear these women shouting over each other, unable to make points due to interruptions by cohost, thus seeming incoherent, and in the end just coming off as next level annoying. It was the View. At some point ESPN execs looked at that format and were like you know what might work!
