Lanoris Sellers = Cam lite?

What are your thoughts on Sellers?  Big frame and big arm at 6'3 and 245 lbs. Shades of Cam Newton. Complete opposite of Young. Could be the answer to what they need. He needs some refinment, but the intangibles are sky high. Looks like a smart guy and not a problem child. He will be a high QB prospect no doubt.

He got a ways to go to catch Cam the collegiate passer.  Gonna be hard to develop a lot this year you would think given the SC OL

so to an extent, he seems to potentially be like some other Gamecocks that have entered the draft recently.  Physical tools make you really want the guy…..no one really close that could come out have near the tools

Just let him be him. I think folks have forgotten how utterly dominant Cam was. Auburn was unranked at the beginning of the season. They had minimal NFL talent on that roster. Cam still won a Heisman and carried them to an SEC championship and national championship. Sellers isn't that. Not at this stage. Cam had what has to be considered one of the greatest college seasons ever.

Ive posted conspiracy theories about us being interested in him for months.  Hes an elite physical specimen with elite intangibles.  Hes got to show an improvement passing and reading defenses this season though.  If he does he will be the #1 pick.

He has some potential, but I really think he would benefit by either staying another year, or sitting at the NFL level. There is a little bit of Richardson bust risk there. That said, we will probably draft him if we have the chance, start him day 1, and all be shocked when he is terrible as well.

I heard this a while back and it made me re-think the player Cam was. Nic Fairly(2nd round? early? or mid 1st?), Panthers drafted late 7th Lee Zimba(sp??), and a mid-round DB who's name escapes me. There maybe more, but not many more names.

That is truly remarkable to overcome. Now he was drafted by Panthers and they did have RBs, IOL, and Olsen. Still on the extreme lower talent level compared to other QB and the depth of WRs, OTs, and coaches.

Cam won the divII championship before the national one. What a career of lifting.......

    • Sir. You have been shouting down any and all valid skepticism and criticism of our #1 overall pick for 2+ years running. You spent all last spring running cover for him and complaining about derails and toxicity only for us to open the season with back to back blowout losses largely contributed by Bryce Young's abysmal play. You have engaged in the exact same formula this spring. You've spent the last two months rage pooing my posts like an angry ten year old even while you've had me on ignore just for speaking the truth about this QB room and our offense. We opened the season with yet another blowout loss this time to a previously 4 win team. And here you are still trying to play the victim while weaponizing the reactions. Any suggestion of you being victimized by anyone else here is a complete and utter farce. You know it. I know it. Have yourself a great day.
    • If he went to Clemson he would be off the board. Still hard to believe they have never drafted a Clemson player.
    • Simply put, Evero has been shafted during his time here. The talent we left him to play with last season was criminal. They've invested some more into the D this offseason, but it's still a unit that's woefully short of talent.  We should have let him walk in the offseason when he wanted to go.
