Hunt and Corbett to IR

Recommended Posts

Corbett is no loss, completely expected.

Yikes to Hunt. People got really pissed when I said to not overpay OGs and one is on IR and the other the injury report in year 2 of those deals. I wish we were decent at drafting.

It's obviously not Hunt's fault he got hurt but this is why I would have rather drafted interior OL than have given a huge contract to both him and Lewis. It always ends badly for us. And we have the highest amount of salary cap dedicated to the OL in the league and it's only going to go up even higher when we ink Icky to his new deal.

I'm tired of excuses all around for this offense.

Hate to see injuries for anyone. I'm looking forward to what Zavala or BC can do.

For getting thrown in last week, I thought Zavala did pretty ok overall. He will be interesting to see if they go with him or BC on the RG spot. The reality is BC can fill in all the spots, might make more sense to leave him as the 6th OL and let Chandler get the reps.

Corbett to IR what's new, pay no attention to any of the C that were available in multiple drafts.

Dude has been hurt badly enough to need IR 3 years in a row and we were still OK with making him play a position he never played in the NFL. SMH, when we got rid of Fitterer, already a year later than we should have with Rhule, we should have actually cleaned house. We got rid of the figurehead, not the actual bad decisions and bad scouting.

Zavala got a bad holding call on the last drive where we stalled out.

Looking like I will not be re-newing my monthly Sunday Ticket subscription, cause that's a disaster. Hunt is one of my favorites they trot out there too, such a shame. I'll keep watching this month but this team is going to be picking top 5 again if this keeps up.

You embody the typical Panthers "fan" on this forum ...... pretty pathetic

    • Okay then. To me that means Russell Wilson was Coryell. Because I see the proposition completely in the Russell Wilson punt/pass put it up for grabs mold. Count on the receiver to catch it or knock it down.    And the reason I thought that was the intent with Legette is the abysmal downfield game from 2023. As in, there was barely any.   I look at it as if… the result of a deep attempt isn’t as important as the opponent understanding they have to defend it. So I was all for some 50/50s. Coryell, Walsh whoever.  I do favor the Coryell approach personally but also very much value versatility, it doesn’t have to be strict. Just make the defense defend the whole field, however you do it. It has to include downfield throws.
    • Sold, or in the process of being sold. Could be either way. Consider this for a second... Last season, our defensive coordinator steered what many have called the worst defense in NFL history.  Canales would absolutely have been justified in firing him, and no one would have blamed him if he had.  But what did he do? He gave Evero another chance to come back and prove he could be better. Does that tell us something about Canales? I think it does. Now apply that to Bryce 😕
    • Canales has never been part of big YAC offenses in the NFL.  That’s not his tree.  Not in Seattle, Tampa or here.  Every O he has been associated with basically has been bottom half of the league in YAC.  That’s what Bryce needs to happen though  2 very different things….and very much gets into why the middle school QB doesn’t fit
