We probably will end up at pick 1 or 2; just pick the best fuggin player. Grab a vet QB and let’s roll. If we have to wait until the next year to pick a QB then we have to wait.

This roster is so bad there is no reason to be impatient(minus the retarded owner). There is no magic bullet waiting in the draft or offseason that is gonna magically transform this terrible roster.

Dig in, quit being completely moronic every offseason, and you will be able to build something.

We’ve consistently had one of the least talented rosters for a few years now. You would think having a lack of quality starters in our roster would lead to cap room and the ability to sign some at some point. Especially with a QB on a rookie contract. But outside of improving our OLine, we lack starters all over. Just a complete failure in free agency.

I like what little I’ve seen of Dante Moore.

If we move on from Evero Rueben Bain has dominated these first 4 games. Could do worse than him and Brown leading our DLine with Scourton/Princely as pass rushers

I'm the wrong guy to ask this since I'm an SC grad so I'd be overjoyed at Sellers......... but he's definitely not an NFL level passer right now. He's got NFL size, NFL arm strength, NFL elusiveness, NFL scrambling, but I would not call him a polished passer who can win from the pocket. But at least he has those NFL traits unlike some guy on this roster.

It's been a steady decline in roster talent from 2017 to 2024. I would argue it was a slight uptick in 2025 but we are talking about 2024 being a literal franchise worst roster.

The sooner this team realizes we are 3-5 years away from building a playoff contender the better.  We should be trading back, loading up on picks so that when the time is right, we can strike.

That goes for bringing in veteran Free Agents as well.  We shouldn't be spending money yet. It's not our time.  Trade back, build the core with multiple draft picks and wait to strike when the iron is hot.

Sellers is the most intriguing QB prospect to me. Has the tools to be a Josh Allen/Cam Newton type player but he's going to need some more time

Dante Moore is another guy I'm watching.

Mendoza should also be watched

I am out on Manning, Allar, Beck and Nuss as of now though

The other option is to just draft Bain from Miami and get our d line right and sign a veteran this off-season. justin fields will probably be available lol

I don't think the roster is quite as bad as you make out - but yeah there's zero depth. BPA and move on to the second round, and realistically you could take that guy at literally any position.

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off
    • https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48344034/nfl-begin-hiring-replacement-officials-given-state-negotiations-nfl-referees-association   Honestly fug these refs and their union. Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
