I miss Jerry Richardson / Dave Gettleman / Marty Hurney / Ron Rivera / John Fox

First I miss TheBigCat and wish WISH he had found a way to keep the team in the family and not to a hedge fund know it all. He had a steady hand and would spend money when needed 

 

I miss Hurney, he NAILED first round picks, he was so/so in FA and trades but he kept the team competitively fielded

 

I miss Gettleman, he was a decent talent evaluator but a horrible personality

 

 Fox / Rivera wasn’t thrilling football but you knew you were going to be a good team every other year and have a solid defense regardless

 

change my mind but Tepper is the worst thing that could have happened to this franchise

Fierce 4-3 defense that beat you to a pulp and spat you out. Never gave up. Gunslinger, charismatic QBs. That was the Panthers.

Ultimately while the W/L record is obviously better by miles Richardson was not a good owner either and he was a very flawed human being. He also relentlessly to a fault and even leading to his own demise and being forced to sell the team he was loyal to the league for years and years even when the league openly spat on us as they did in Cam's prime years and made it abundantly clear they did not want him or us representing the public face of the league.

We need much better than both.

I just miss having hope. Under Richardson we always longed for consistency and lamented how we could never put together winning seasons but we were good often enough to keep things interesting and give reason for hope. With Tepper the only entertainment is seeing what new ways we can fug up a football organization. It truly feels hopeless.

i remember all the celebrating when he was forced out because we were finally "get a good owner that wants to win consistently" jerry having a good belly laugh in his grave somewhere. you love to see it

Richardson was an amazing owner.  Hurney was better than we thought and I always liked riverboat.  The good ole days
