When Chris said: "If Mike Vrabel was brought here to coach this team and Canales was on the Patriots, what just happened to the Panthers would've happened to the Patriots".

That's a sobering thought and brings the state of of our franchise and decision makers into perspective. If that's clear to everyone inside and outside of the building, then changes need to be made.... But you can't change ownership

Tepper will never hire someone like Vrabel. He could’ve had Harbaugh who was basically begging to coach in Charlotte and wouldn’t hire him because Harbaugh talks back. As long as Tepper owns this team they will have  spineless yes men with no guts.

If Harbaugh was coach Bryce would have never seen the field again as a Panther once he got benched.  He is probably thanking God he avoided this disaster.

Wrong, a coach isn't fixing complete lack of talent at the most important positions

This strikes me as a really stupid comment. Especially when they acknowledge that Canales doesn't have the QB to run his scheme. You can't say on one hand that the QB is the problem, then turn around and say "well, if only we had their coach and they had ours."

If Vrabel was our coach with Bryce as the QB he'd be running into the same limitations that Canales is. Saying the results would have been reversed is saying that Vrabel would somehow magically be able to avoid having the same limitations.

Now, if we also had Drake Maye at QB? Different story. But that's not what they're saying.

I think everyone knows the HC is only the HC on one side of the ball. This is a huge problem, compounded by the fact that side of the ball he does have is hugely limited.

Fire Evero. Drump Bryce. Let Canales have the rest of the season.

If you start firing coaches and benching your starting qb you signal the season is over and the purge must begin. That includes trading players for draft picks.

Yeah, the Evero truly seems to be the head coach of the defense. I'm all for giving coordinators plenty of rein to work with but when your HC is practically begging his DC to play some younger guys instead of trash tier vets and the DC pretty much brushes it off that seems like a problem.

Yeah, Vrabel did not make 30 points of difference or anywhere close to it. Once the Tannehill situation ran its course he had two straight losing seasons in Tennessee and got fired.

I actually do like Vrabel as a coach, but no coach can overcome a severe limitation at QB. In some ways I am starting to wonder if we will ever really know what we have with Canales as long as he is tied to Bryce at QB.

they did trade his best player behind his back, I wanted Harbaugh here and then I wanted Vrbel here.  What could have been

    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
