He's had some head-scratching drops, but I think he's trying to do too much. There's no way the players don't see what we see with the limitations in the offense, and I can't imagine that is easy on a young playmaker.  He's also very clearly being featured... I think I've heard we've gone 'deep' something like 9 times and 7 were to him, lol

I am excited to see him and Coker together on the field, because they are very different players but both have promise.

I think too many Panthers fans are already so used to seeing the amazing catches he's able to make, so they're chalking up the ones he isn't able to make as drops.

I could be wrong, but I only remember 2 actual drops (maybe a 3rd) from him all season so far, the rest were just plays he almost made a great play but was unable to, which isn't a drop.

He’ll be fine.

Gotta get him a QB that can get him the ball. Man, you could tell when you first saw him in training camp, then preseason, that he was going to be a good one. Just looked different than what we have seen around here lately

I think he's credited with 2 actual drops, I'd say 2 were not that hard to catch that probably aren't called drops, but his actual drop% is over 5%. That is not very good, but it's such a small sample size I think that'll go down.  I don't think he was credited with a drop vs NE for instance.

I think he struggles finding the ball when he’s not tracking it in the air.

I suspect this might be because he can’t see Bryce in the pocket just like Bryce can’t see any of them.

I also think all the WR are hearing footsteps on crossing routes and I don’t blame them at all.

If only we had a highly successful veteran receiver in the absolute twilight if his career to mentor him through the highs and lows who also knows how to navigate the Bryce BS. Someone who was instrumental in helping our defunct qb play some of his best ball last year.

The only reason thielen thrived here is because he was good at finding the soft spot in zones, catching the ball and falling down. That is a possession reciever not a difference maker

You know I didn't want Tmac because I felt he didn't fit with Bryce.

That said, most of what people are calling drops here and on twitter are not drops. It's him jumping and stretching out his arms and getting to a ball most receivers wouldn't even sniff. Makes it look like a drop because he's getting his hands on them but they are in no way a drop, they are terribly off target throws made to look better than they actually are because Tmac had a ridiculous catching radius
