It's disappointing that he at least didn't have the awareness to lie. Even if what he says is true surely he has to understand it comes across terribly. He's been performing terribly so at least say that missing a couple weeks with a sore hammy has given me the chance to really dive into the playbook again and get more comfortable with my understanding of the overall offensive scheme. Anything sounds better than basically saying these last couple weeks have been an utter waste.

The question was disrespectful and probably caught him off guard

How was it disrespectful and how was he caught off guard? He's a struggling young player who has missed a couple of weeks due to injury or "injury". Other than "how is the hamstring feeling?" what else are they supposed to ask him? If he didn't expect to be asked that sort of question then that's a failure of our PR team and probably his agent as well. They absolutely should've given him a heads up that it's almost certainly coming.

I was already out on him after last year.  You can't be a #1 WR without good hands, and if you are entering the NFL with bad hands, ain't much is gonna change that.

But this speaks VOLUMES about where he is mentally.  We would be smart to go ahead and move on in the offseason.

The people talking about how good XL will look in some other offense or with some other QB, just remember this is the same horseshit we have heard for Mingo, TMJ, Funchess, Colbert, etc, etc, etc.

Just realize you are gonna seem just as foolish as all these other times when this guy is a resounding bust.

Ok, I’m beginning to not like this jackass. How about some stock answer about taking the time off to study defensive formations and ask questions and study film? Oh and how much you missed playing the game alongside your brothers. Maybe he really is just stupid.

I kind of get the feeling all this publicity he got this offseason has made him feel like hes fine with or without football.

Joe Burrow was playing bad before he got hurt, you think anyone's going to ask him if he learned anything while he was injured? It's disrespectful because he wasn't benched for performance reasons, but the question is insinuating that he was.  It's kinda obvious

Stop. You're comparing a proven high level pro to a second year player who had a subpar rookie season and was practically nonexistent this year before going out. You're massively reaching to create a narrative here. It was a fair question given the situation.

Still my point is valid, he wasn't benched he was hurt.  He had very little play in the preseason, which is on him and Canales, he was sluggish and bad his first game and played faster the second game but every throw to him was ass.  Let's see him with a somewhat competent QB who can at least deliver the ball on time.  Every catch with this team has to be a circus catch because Bryce's accuracy is poo.

    • To all y’all I can read the room and understand my opinion wouldn’t be popular. I have had them before. It is what it is.  I don’t need you guys to rebut my opinion thinking I would be convinced by your opinions.  I have had enough of that with my unpopular Bryce opinion - which was fuging 100% right btw. I wasn’t a flip to anti Bryce I was anti Bryce ore draft. Never changed my take. Not saying That’s not saying I won’t  change this one.  Said at the beginning I expected missteps. You should expect them when you admittedly hire a guy before he is ready and need him to grow into the job. We are four games into the second season with a hopeless albatross around our necks playing QB.  I need to see more before I join the lynch mob. His beta voice and cheerleader stuff notwithstanding, because I don’t like that. It isn’t my idea of what grown men respond to.  But he was brought here to try and salvage a train wreak of a draft pick at QB which I never thought could be done, I need to see him fail with a good piece of clay, before I flush him. He did a good job with Baker. He obviously has a huge pile of poo to contend with - that btw won’t get any smaller for the next Tepper lackey. It won’t be easy for whoever. I am gonna try and stay out of the Canales party moving forward.
    • Panthers offensive line is probably better today that it was in 2011, unless you’ve got some wrong opinions about Byron bell you want to share. Thomas Davis played two games that year. Jon Beason played 1. Not much difference between the running backs if we’re being honest, probably a little better in 2011. You didn’t even name a defensive lineman, probably because Fua and McClain didn’t stand the test of time. Charles Johnson is who you could have named. Doesn’t matter because brown is the best player between both units. Less said about Greg hardy the better   the biggest differences were cam, smith, and Olsen. And even with smith being the best WR, that 2011 team was also trotting out legadu nanee   you called the 2011 team “infinitely” more talented and included two players that suited up in three games between them. Not sure you know what you’re talking about.  and yeah, six wins (in a 17 game season no less) is probably a great height for DC.
