Any well functioning team benches Bryce

If you come away from this game thinking you need to Bench Bryce you’re crazy. He’s wildly inconsistent, but was a contributor in the winning of this game.

Story of the year. Get down massively to Arizona, look like your first NFL game to throwing for more than 300 yards and getting the team to within 40 yards of a come back win. Get down 17-0 to Miami, execute the offense to outscore the Dolphins 27-7 the rest of the way. Defeat the Falcons 30-0 throwing for like 150 yards.

Personally, I think it would be great to have retained Darnold. Darnold in this scheme with Canales would instantly make this team a contender for the NFC South. However that didn't happen.

I don't know what you do because when they run game gets shut down, and it will get shut down, you have to depend on Bryce to play efficiently. On one third down ball to someone (I forget who), when he was rolling out and made that throw close to the sideline to convert, the TV people would talking about how special that was.

What I saw was another receiver streaking all alone 45 yards downfield, with about 5 yards of separation. Even while rolling out, an average QB is able to deliver that ball, signed, and sealed for a touchdown. Bryce's lack of deep ball ability is the achilles heel to this offense and it's something that can't be fixed.

I would love to be able to draft Carson Beck. I think he took a lot of crap at UGA which now seems unwarranted. Looking at how inefficient their offense is now compared to how it was with Beck at QB, and now how he has gone into the system Cam Ward was in and outperformed him massively in just pure execution and efficiency, along with the physical traits, tells me he will be a Top 3 pick. We won't have a Top 3 pick though.

So what do we do? I have no idea. Canales is too good of an offensive coach for us to get a Top 3 pick and Bryce is inconsistent enough to get us a Top 10 pick. So absent finding a guy like Nix with tons of experience and good enough measurables, which requires great evaluations, I just think we are stuck.

The frustrating part is I know Bryce can play. The last 4 games last year he looked great and seemed to be playing free.

But I turned the game off after that int yesterday. I don’t know wtf he was doing stepping up into his own blockers.

I think he gets hit with paralysis by analysis. Like trying to not make the mistakes so he’s not seeing the field, ends up making worse mistakes. Anyone who plays sports knows what it’s like to “aim instead of throw.” It’s the difference in college and pros and he might just never get over it.

I can't believe he tried to Chris Webber us before halftime, those little things are infuriating to watch in Year 3. He loses control and panics presnap too often I hate it. Did well enough to get the game over the line second half but its so unnecessary because of his first half miscues.

Bryce is the unfortunate case of a guy who has immense athletic ability in a small package. If he was even 6' tall he might have a better shot at being a legit NFL QB. He's just too short to see over the line and all of his good throws come from throwing blind to the sidelines and scrambling out of the pocket so he can see the field. It's just not a recipe to win in the NFL.

He's a first overall pick. Need to see him take the reigns and command a formidable passing attack in his third season.

Expecting herculean efforts from your backfield and defense is not sustainable.

This, people keep trying to coddle a guy we gave up a 1st swap, future 1st (no.1 overall), future 2nd, and DJ Moore. And some of you are patting his back for just "average" play if that.

Bryce HAS TO ELEVATE this team in order to validate the investment, and any future considerations regarding an extension of 50M + etc.

He has NOT lived up to being the no.1 overall pick, I'm glad we won...but I'm still not sold on Bryce, we need to continue looking to improve the QB position.

It used to be funny when the Bryce stans would show up every time we manage to not lose a game and act like he did something. Now it just feels sad and pathetic.

Imagine your QB digging your team a 17-0 hole with his turnovers then your backup RB going ham and having a career day with 200+ yards and nearly 10 yards per touch then having the nerve to show up and spike the football and act like little Bryce won a game. LOL

We have to win despite Bryce not because of him. That's why the vast majority of us want him replaced.

Bryce needs a cheat code (Chuba, Rico) where he is always playing ahead of the down and distance. It’s the reason why his yardage is always so low.

Problem being is that he himself is not capable of playing in god mode, essential in a true franchise guy so high draft capital can be relegated towards the defense.
