Chances against the Cowboys

Could they possibly win two in a row? Dak has been hot and they are much better then the fins.

Do they have a chance or will they implode under the possibility of some success. The running game has to get going and take the ball out of Youngs hands. Defense needs to show up and the secondary must play better than they did last game.

What you got?

24 hour rule. Sort of. For me, Inlook back until Wednesday or Thursday. And then the last week is out of my system.
I only made a statement about our chances last week because I had a feeling.
I don’t pick us to beat anyone. maybe the presence of Luke up in the booth will be enough this week.
We have been known to be Cowboy killers in the past. Who knows? Rooting for RICO against his old team.

Their offense is better than the Panthers while the Panthers D is better than their D. If they can pressure Young then it could be a problem. The Cowboys haven't turned over the ball on offense in 2 games so that should come into play too.

I still think the Cowboys take this one

Their defense is on track to be worse than ours last year. Their run D is in the bottom half but their pass D is horrible.

32nd overall D, 32nd passD, 23rd rush D

We are going to have to throw the ball against them, which means down field where they are vulnerable. Problem is Turnover Fred struggles to push the ball down the field and we have the 26th ranked pass offense. Running will help but will have to beat them through the air.

On the flip side, Dallas’ offense is awesome.

1st overall, 3rd pass, 8th run.

But Evero’s defense is ranked 12th right now with the pass D around 10th and rush D around 14th.

If we can take care of the football (looking at Bryce) and we make plays down the field (also looking at Bryce) we can win, yes.

I would say doubtful. Big step up from the Dolphins (probably a bottom 5 NFL team without Tyreek) to the Cowboys (probably a middle of the pack NFL team, even with their current injuries). And we all know we always split with Atlanta, no matter how good or bad us or ATL is.

And as bad as Dallas' defense is, they are nowhere near as awful as Miami's defense (at least with run defense).

Defense has to shut down their passing attack and force them to run the ball or make them throw short and tackle.

Offensively, Bryce has to play more consistently from the first snap and not lose the game for us.

historically (2020+), cowboys seem to have our number. not too confident in a victory. their defense is very bad, but bryce young's tendency to make mistakes especially early on doesn't give me confidence, especially as their offense is quite good. if we fall behind early, we likely don't have an easy time coming back.

    • Today, we are all Kucci... I miss our feral Russian attack goalie!
    • That was a good segment. Watched every minute of it and would highly recommend it to all fans.
    • "So much of what the Panthers are going to do next week isn't dictated by their preference, but by what happens above them. That's another benefit of not getting locked into need. For instance, if you're thinking you want a receiver, seeing five or six of them go off the board and reacting by taking the sixth or seventh off your list instead of the first (or second or third) something else isn't necessarily wise." https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-back-into-the-weeds-of-the-nfl-draft-bryce-young-charlotte-hornets-mock-draft This is what some don't seem to get, I don't care how many times it is said: You're NOT going to draft an inferior person at one position, just because that position is perceived as, or is in fact, a bigger need. That would basically nullify, or at least lessen, the reason why you set yourself up via free agency to be able to take the BPA/BAP on the board in the first place.  Yes, the process is complex, very much involved and ongoing, but the overall philosophy is not rocket science. You set yourself up in order not to be pigeonholed into taking a lower graded player at the expense of a higher graded one. This is why Morgan, Gantt and countless of others say the same thing. This is why it's just nonsensical to set yourself in a position where you don't have to, but then act like you have to come hell or high water: "Oh, we have to draft [whatever position], and we can't draft [this position]."  I'm good with whatever they do, until proven otherwise, but even then, you have to be mature enough to know that drafting is an imperfect exercise, filled with hits and misses. And, you generally don't know if you've hit, and especially missed, right away. Moreover, like I've said before, sometimes two players--different positions or not--can both be hits on their respective teams, so in that sense, it's not purely about a right or wrong pick as much as it's about putting puzzle pieces together at the time the best way that you know how.  At the end of the day, people are going to believe what they want to believe, but one thing that's true is that what the Panthers do regarding the draft is dependent upon what others do, and what others do can and does change things. That being the case, it's just another reason why you can't go in with tunnel vision. The thought of doing that is preposterous.
