Our 2nd Most Productive WR

…is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following:

- Bryce can’t push the ball downfield

- contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.

- we need Coker back badly.

- Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man!

Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.

Hunter Renfrow has more TDs than every other WR combined on the roster put together

Bryce can’t play beyond 20 yards.  We don’t need to keep trying ton solve a riddle that has been answered.   Even in the 10-20 yard range Bryce largely just plays the game to the sideline/out.

Bryce can play beyond 20 yards when the team can play beyond 20 yards. The physics of football don’t change from college to NFL. Bryce had one of the best deep balls in college football. He also had surprise surprise, speed at the WR position. Our fastest WR is 5’8 bruh and he just got on the field. Your take is lazy as always.

False.

During his best statistical season at Alabama, Bryce completed only 36.1% of passes longer than 20 yards. For comparison, his two predecessors Mac Jones and Tua had respectively completed 58% and 48.6% of throws longer than 20 yards.

In 2021, Young only completed 10 passes of 20 yards or more, resulting in a 36.1% completion rate on such throws, according to AL.com. This was significantly less than other Alabama quarterbacks like Mac Jones in 2020 (29 completions, 58%) and Tua Tagovailoa in 2018 (24 completions, 57.1%).

He can’t.  Not by NFL standards.  More than enough evidence at this stage to make that determination.  For even a chance at one Bryce has to get a perfect look and that’s not NFL football.   His weak arm gets nerfed too much when you get him off an ideal setup.

Bryce’s ball placement and accuracy are horrible downfield.  That applied at Bama.  Bama WRs just had room to adjust.  Bryce defenders just repeat this lie about his Bama deep ball.  NFL balls have to be well placed to dudes only NFL open.  Bryce leads the NFL in bad throw % since arriving.  His accuracy and balls are garbage vs his peers.

Countless plays for years where dudes are NFL open downfield and Bryce just lets the DB have just as good as a shot at it or takes the WR out of bounds.  It’s not a debate.

Dudes flat out open this year on repeat.  He can’t make the throws.  So the talk about not having speed is auto debunked and a distraction.  Open is open and Bryce has gotten the looks

There is no debating Bryce Young.  There are just people arguing Dwyane Jarrett can get it done and life has been unfair to him…..because they can’t admit they have been so wrong about a player.

MAYBE Young could get it done in the right quirky scheme with perfect skill position players.  Thats not ever going to exist here nor with 98% of the other orgs

Imagine if back in 2010 some folks were trying to fight others online over whether Jimmy Clausen was a starting QB.

That's where we're at 🤷‍♂️

And he's missed a couple of walk-in TDs to Renfrow. He missed a walk-in TD to Tremble this week and a walk-in TD to T-Mac last week.

It should tell you just how bad this situation is for a QB

This guy wouldn’t be on any other teams active roster and he’s been our WR2

Then we have Renfrow who looks like ass. As Horn gets more run and Coker comes back Renfrow won’t see the field. Renfrow was cut for good reason before the season only to be thrusted in the starting lineup one week later

I've been trying to tell y'all since preseason that Brycen Tremayne is the missing piece. 😛

XL, TMac, Coker, and Tremayne all dumpstering DBs when the team runs out of 10 personnel will be hilarious.

Legette by verified numbers is faster, and also not 5'8, and I like Horn too.

XL - 4.39

JHJ - 4.4

Both combine numbers, we've had speed...we just added some more. XL was hurt, Jimmy was DNPCD.

Jameson Williams Bryces deep threat in college, is arguably faster than both but didn't test due to his ACL injury.

The issue at the NFL level is you don't face Alcorn States secondary with WRs running free.
