50+ and you are saddling yourself for at least 4 years and thats a lot of jobs at stake.  The Giants navigated reasonably well but they had to trade a first to get out of it.  And Dart could easily come back to earth

For Cade Mays? So you are looking at 12-13 million a year for a good center. Normally I’d be all for it but our OL is so expensive we would have to let Icky walk (I’m not against this but he is playing well), trade Moton who we just extended or get out from Hunt’s deal after next year (there is an out) to clear out some space tied to the OL.

unless they score off a pick 6 or something I dont know how they are going to move the ball on us

They are going to take advantage of our youth and inexperience at defensive end with zone reads with fields.

if you’re a betting man, I’d put a decent chunk in fields at 60+ rushing yards Sunday.

If we lose and bryce has a bad game then there is no more discussion, its over, the experiment finished.

Full disclosure:  Its the jets, we are going to roll them, bryce and this team gets confidence for a road win in a fairly harsh environment.  So many things would have to go wrong for us to lose this game.

Hope you’re right but we’ve all seen the lows this team is capable of.

Wonder if they just don’t run at our DTs….and throw to the TEs/RBs?

thats seems to be the model to beat the Panthers Steel Curtain.

Our linebackers have played better in recent weeks but any reversion would be lethal because at their worst the middle of this defense becomes a serious problem.

Also Mike Jackson has had a rough couple of weeks, we need him to pick it back up.

There are no gimmes in the NFL.

That gave up 50 yards rushing in the last 2 games combined?  And we're playing a one dimensional rushing team?

I miss when there wasn't such a commitment to bathing in misery here.

Yeah, and if not for a herculean effort from Dowdle in both games, we lose both of those because Evero's soft zone defense let Dak and Tua do whatever they wanted to. People falling for this facade again is hilarious to me.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
