Trade for a QB?

Need to wait to see if BY has overnight swelling and what Carolinas machine says about his ankle Monday.

I saw the negative x-ray, but the fact that he got one means something is wrong.

Wait until the Monday, even Tuesday reports.

Panthers gonna be forced in season to address something that was obvious and needed before the first snap of the season.

they mismanaged the roster because they knew any decent human backup QB would auto be competing with Bryce in reality even if he didn’t get a shot. Players would know

Ding ding ding.  Dalton being unplayable was a known from last year.  Anyone surprised by that must have gone in a coma from celebrating the raiders game and woken up today.

I wouldn't give up a Day 1 or Day 2 pick to acquire a QB this season or the next. But, I'd wouldn't hesitate at all to part with a Day 3 pick (rounds 4-7) to acquire a serviceable QB wasting his career sitting on another teams bench if I believed he had the potential:

1) to complete 65%of his passes

2) Minimize turnovers

3) threaten all 3 levels of the defense

4) eclipse 200 yards passing on a regular basis.

Gimme Jameis or Howell. Let's see this offense with a QB who has shown he can put up numbers. Turnovers be damned. The schedule is about to get real and the QB play we've had ain't gonna cut it.

Damn, you won't give up the dream of Howell, but I could get with that as long as it's not higher than a 6th.

100% agree but out of pie.  Bringing in someone else for a day 3 pick is a no brainer.  The potential value for us is way more than a 5th round pick or whatever.  Think about Mike Jackson for a 7th.

So, you want to trade for a top 8 pro-bowl level QB with a day 3 pick. Got it

If only it were that easy amirite

Big picture, Bryce missing extended time is the worst case scenario for our big picture future.   The tough part of the schedule is ahead.  Getting to 6 wins after a Jets win (discussed last week) wasn’t a likely path.  Now the stans are going to act like he would have had success down the stretch
