Ehh, they can win this and still sink back to .500 pretty easily.
This is a team we should beat.
We didn’t do that week 2 but we handled it going forward. And stole one yesterday to even out the week 2 loss.

I'm just saying we lose this, I think the fanbase would understand the level we're at for the time being with this crew in tow.

If we win, there's a higher ceiling than initially (near universally) thought.

I'm basically comparing a an almost/just above 500 record 8-9/9-8 and no playoffs vs a 5-7 win team expectations.

I mean, if we played them 5 times.....they probably largely would beat us by double digits majority of the time.  I think if we played the Packers again this week it would be about the same spread.

I mean, as soon as we can't run the ball and have to be balanced or pass heavy in a game......it's Nightmare on Elm Street.

You should say I mean more.

Have Jaycee follow Olave and need the run Defense from 3-4 weeks ago to show up to shut down Kamara and what I think will be decent amount of Taysom Hill. As long as we dont lose the turnover battle I like to think we win this one. Would also make me feel better to see Bryce throw for over 150 yards

Panthers open as 4.5 point favorites. You get three points for being at home so Vegas thinks we are only 1.5 points better than the one win saints..

Tells you what they think about the team and our ability to score

You don't get 3 points for being at home...that isn't a thing anymore.

So if we beat Tyler Shough's Saints...6-4

If we lose to Tyler Shough's Saints...back to earth (again)

The results of this game will swing the narrative for the rest of the season.  The 2 Saints games are the only remaining I see us favorited in.  Maybe ATL, but that's away.

Division games are never easy unless you play the Falcons on a day they poop out their weeners.

Saints are going to come full on and it will be a dog fight. Panthers understand it.

    • It shows how short the actual span of a NFL career actually is.  We get caught up with the few guys that play until 40-years old, but that's an extraordinary tiny fraction of the League.  What you may or may not have intentionally done there is show how we quickly move off guys like that but are stubbornly hanging onto Bryce.  His new running mate, Kenny Pickett, drafted just one year earlier is already on his 4th or 5th team.  Kenny isn't horrible, but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB.  Some franchises get it, chalk it up as a miss and move on.  Others double down on trying to make things work until the relationship completely deteriorates. *cough* Dolphins and Cardinals *cough*
    • Winner of 7 vs 8 seed game gets 7th seed. Loser of that game plays against winner of 9 vs 10 seed game. Winner of that game (loser of 7 vs 8 against winner of 9 vs 10) gets 8th seed. So in reality if you make it to the 7 vs 8 game, it’s win and in for your team. Lose that game and you get another shot at getting in. If you have to play the 9 vs 10 game, lose once you are gone. Win the first game as a 9 vs 10 competitor and you still have to win again to get in.
    • DJ Chark, Hayden Hurst, and Bradley Bozeman all started for the Carolina Panthers during Bryce Young’s rookie season. All 3 have announced retirement after two years.  Scott Fitterer was that bad.   And his #1 receiver Thielen also just retired
