It’s an aberration and you don’t overreact.

So you have The Cards in game in Week 2 and today, which the stats have not been posted yet.  The 300 yard game and 400 yard game are the exceptions, not the rule.  We all know Bryce is good to ball out 2 or 3 times a season.  That's not prolific enough. The sub-200 yard games are the norm and that's just not second contract worthy.

Games like this make Bryce even more frustrating. If he can play like this, why doesn't he do so more often?

Either way, I'm happy for him and the team. Hopefully something for himt o build on.

I truly believe he has the tools and knowledge to play professional football. He just doesn't have the size and strength to overcome a lot of what teams are throwing at him. He literally cant see his players unless he's in a lane. When defenders are in his face, he has no idea where everyone is. That's why he throws ducks, ints, or just takes the sack when he's pressured. Another reason teams send the house every play every game. But even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while. Hence the few amazing games sprinkled into his stats.

Calling anybody a hater for critiquing a player with one of the worst 3 years starts in nfl history is just crazy work.

If it wasn't for the premium placed to get him bryce would have been benched a long time ago by most teams. Qbs dont generally get this long of a leash. Its about as privileged as it gets.

I have questions.

specifically… what now?

(Imagine the pulp fiction gimp scene when Bruce Willis character asks what now).

He loses his Atlanta privileges.

Or maybe we trade him to the Falcons.

Bryce Young has led 10 career game-winning drives, which is the most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2023. The most recent was in Week 11 of the 2025 season, a 30-27 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons. In that game, he finished with 448 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and orchestrated a game-tying drive to send the game to overtime and another drive to set up the winning field goal.

So?   Do we extend him?   Give him the 5th?   What's your plan?

In someways we had a similar situation with Cam Newton. He had games where he’d throw for 300+ yards and complete over 60% of his passes, then he’d have those 200 or less passing yard games and would complete less than 60% of his passes. Even in his MVP season he had six games with less than 200 passing yards and ten games with less than 60% PCT (he had two under 50%!). So we have kinda been here before with Cam because we all wanted him to develop as a pocket passer and become a more prolific passer, but he never quite achieved the consistency as a passer. Now the advantage Cam had was he could make up for the passing inconsistencies with his work as a runner, whereas Bryce doesn’t have the size to bully the opposition defense like Cam did, so he will have to develop more consistency as a passer if he wants to be the guy (here or elsewhere).

This board is miserable. Left around the Rhule era, visited here and there and came back this offseason. Honestly had so much last year rooting for the team during their hot streak without the Huddles echo chamber takes. This isn’t a BY problem either. The same echo chamber and bitching happened during the Cam era on here and during the Delhomme era on other boards.  Some Panther fans only like rooting for the team bc they want something to complain about.

Well said. To me the cards game should have an * because they were down so much and it felt like the cards stopped trying. It’s crazy how he has one good game like this and everyone just forgets he had two freaking games with 100 yards, one of which was barely 100 yards.
