Kudos to Bryce Young

He hung in there through adversity and kept throwing the ball and he actually moved it downfield like you expect a #1 pick to do.

Also. Again. We clearly have weapons. This is what happens when you get them the ball in opportunities that can open up the whole offense.

As for Bryce Young vs any team not the Atlanta Falcons....We'll save that difficult discussion for another day.

Right now I'm just going to enjoy sweeping the Falcons 🧹🧹

I just feel like we are reliving late season last year. Get our hopes all up about his “progression” and then get it swiped away at start of next season. He had a good game, but his ass needs to be gone after this season. Putting up numbers against below average teams does not warrant an extension.

Bryce has shown he can throw for 400 yards against teams that are below .500 for the season. Has it put up numbers like this against playoff caliber teams? Nope

Have the plays been called for him to do that, or does Canales clam up with limited gameplans against winning teams? ATL has a pretty high-dollar secondary and Bryce shredded them.

Yup. Agree. Coker is just teh better option.

I know he probably had to get in game condition after being injured and missing many games but I think he’s found it. For some reason our coaching staff wants to use XL over Coker and I don’t get it.

IT was a great game. Where the fug was this offense against NO? Just insane the Jekyl and Hyde performances you get from this team on a week to week basis. It's definitely an improvement over the last few years though I will say that. Jury is still out on Bryce even though I think we need to still seriously consider bringing in some serious competition next year. We may not need to go out and spend a 1st on a QB but definitely need to grab one in the top half of the draft and consider a vet or two that can still play. Great job to Bryce today though it was nice to be able to watch an entire game of Panthers football and still win at the end.

Also when we face a defense that is good enough to sell out for the run and still play solid pass defense.  This is the Rico Dowdle effect.

It’s not like Atlanta has a bad defense either.

I went back and looked and they haven’t even given up 300 yards to a QB this season. The most I think they gave up was 255 to Drake Maye. Josh Allen only got 180 yards against them. So it’s not like Bryce just got lucky against a bad defense.

I think it's Bryce. The intermediate routes were open in past games and Bryce wasn't taking them. He owned up to that.

Also a Bryce hater here, and yes, I'll give him credit for having his best game of his career.

But at the same time, he still had so many just baffling plays and terrible throws.

It's a very weird feeling after this one, as I still very much don't think he is a viable long term solution at QB, but it was his best game of his career, I can admit that.  But also admittedly, my fear is he just played his way into having his 5th year picked up and given the starting position again next year.

Your expectations aren't realistic. No QB makes every throw in any game. Watch KC play right now. Let me know how many passes you think Mahomes could have made but didn't. Heck we saw Josh Allen miss passes against Carolina a couple of weeks ago.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
