I have a feeling Canales is going to majorly overcorrect and try to run the ball 75 times.

keep the ball out of Matthew Staffords hands as much as possible & play to your strengths which is the run game

...just ssaying that might not be a bad idea ?

NFL continues to fix games to keep playoff races close down the stretch.

Panthers win vs Rams keeps them in lock step with the Bucs making for a competitive race in the south and also keeps their week 17 game against Seattle (which will most likely be a national game on a Saturday) important.

Rams lose resulting in a tightening of the nfc west which coincides with those teams playing against each other multiple times down the stretch with some of those games in primetime.

Panthers benefit from some roughing the passer calls that are questionable and some phantom holds on the rams oline which derails drives.

Rams losing outright also immensely helps Vegas as I’d imagine almost every moneyline parlay has the rams sprinkled in.

I think it would take a perfect storm of a number of things happening for the Panthers to win. Similar to the Packers game but even more so since the Rams are a better team than the Packers. Each thing happening alone would be very reasonable, but all of them happening in the same game is nearly impossible.

1 - The Rams come out flat and unprepared having to travel across the country after a holiday week allowing the Panthers to build an early lead.

2 - Weather impacts the game, lowering the scoring

3 - The Panthers play a complete game in all three phases.

4 - Backups overachieve in place of injured/suspended starters

5 - Matt Stafford does not finish the game and/or has his worst game of the season.

6 - The game is fairly officiated and not rigged

To me at least 4 out of the 6 of these things need to happen for the Panthers to even have a chance to win. Otherwise it will be a game that is over by halftime, which I fully expect.

Similar to the 49ers game where we saw the officials allowing the 49ers to openly get away with holding on the opening drive, we knew the game was never attainable from the first snap. The Rams might be getting a gift of a win even if they come out and play like dogshit. But we will see, that’s why they play the game.

    • The Raiders have completed a second interview with Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The team has complied with the Rooney Rule after interviewing Evero and former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, who appears headed to the Chargers as offensive coordinator. That allows the Raiders to hire a new coach at any time. Evero has served as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator since 2023, first taking the job under former head coach Frank Reich. While Carolina finished at the bottom of the league defensively in 2024, Evero helped turn the unit around to finish No. 16 in yards and No. 15 in points allowed in 2025. Evero has coordinated two top-10 defenses — first with what the Broncos in 2022 (No. 7 in yards allowed) and then with the Panthers in 2023 (No. 4 in yards allowed). He has also worked for the 49ers, Packers and Rams. The Raiders also have Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, 49ers offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak, Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, Rams passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase, Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula and Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb among their candidates. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/raiders-complete-second-interview-with-panthers-dc-ejiro-evero
    • This is the way. He’s no Luke, but who is? Golday is one of my draft crushes. I’d love him in the 2nd.
    • No, he mainly talked about rarely getting to see him and not begging him for tickets. He did state that he had to pay 1/2 price for his tickets to our game. He is Alex father’s brother. He was a nice guy, drank grey goose with me. He showed me some pictures of Alex taking picture with fans and family. Neat experience. The board member talked a lot about the arena and projects that are way behind. The Willis incident was random and happened towards the end of the first period. Willis is pretty stout. Other than that, more storm brews and a 2-1 win, it was a great day. I’m am curious what happened to Primo subs, anyone know?
