That's a winning formula for the Panthers. Canales honestly seems to have finally gotten the message on how to win with Bryce Young. Stubbornly run the ball to set up 1 on 1 opportunities for Bryce on 3rd and 4th down.

I can not believe the winning formula is Fox Rivera wilks ball 4.2...... I thought Panthers wanted to join the modern NFL..... *but when your QB is BY there is only sooo many ways to pull off wins, shocked he's able to pull off 4th downs and 4th quarter comebacks.....he should switch to number 4....

I'm convinced CRA has chronic nightmares about BY and comes on here to try to ease his stress

XL blocked very well yesterday, and has been blocking well lately. He's got a very, very long way to go as a receiver. The "It's Bryce Young" argument doesn't really make sense if Tet and Coker and showing out and making plays. XL can't seem to do anything in open space, which is what he was drafted for. He isn't even an option on end arounds, they'd rather give it to Horn.

I have family up in Dillon and Florence, and they have similar accents. So, I love the guy. But could you imagine if BY threw him the TD pass he threw to TMac? He would have damn near killed himself adjusting and still dropped it. If he somehow would have caught it, he definitely would have fallen down afterwards. And the Huddle would have said look at that horrible pass by BY.

I bet XL wishes he lived in the world where people show him the same leniency/patience that Bryce Young gets.

XL is a very frustrating player at times and has plenty of work to do if he wants to be a long term starter in this league. But he's 27 games into his career. He is basically a fringe second round pick and we drafted him knowing he was a raw prospect. Obviously could argue all day and night about who we would take in a redraft. But the parallels to the conversation about our #1 pick who is 42 games into his career are honestly downright comical. We gleefully congratulate Bryce Young for completing basic passes 31 other starters in the NFL routinely make. We are basically that parent at their kids little league football games when it comes to Bryce Young doing literally anything construed as positive. I think we can give Xavier Legette a little grace and a little more time.

Legette, career NFL TDs - 7

TMJ and Mingo, combined career NFL TDs - 1

You're having a hell of a week, buddy. Might want to sit this one out.

Want to compare the rest of their stats?

I notice your flaw is that you take one data point and assume that is the full picture.

You don't seem to be the sharpest, that's fairly obvious. Can't seem to be able to understand the "eye test" either.

Legette is on track to have a similar career to Devin Funchess. A few mildly productive years on the Panthers, trys out for a few other teams, NFL career over.

We would be very lucky to have XL be as productive overall as Funchess was here, TBQH. It's not looking great.

I will say that XL is a more efficient player than Funchess was.

Funchess career Per Game(Carolina only): 5.1 Targets, 2.64 Rec, 36.6 Yds, 0.34 TD, 1.95 First Downs, 51% Catch

XL Career Per Game: 5.07 Targets, 2.85 Rec, 29.0 Yds, 0.26 TD, 1.52 First Downs, 56.2% Catch

Yeah, you knocked XL.

I merely afforded XL the same defense Bryce Young gets.  Please get out of here, ignoring that fact XL through their first 27 games in Carolina he has found the endzone more than future HOFer Steve Smith, longest TD pass in Super Bowl history (at one time) Mushin Muhammad and the forever underrated #1 in your heart DJ Moore did through their first 27 games.   So why would we ever think not extending XL.

also, why do you hate the Panthers and winning.  Because not supporting XL is basically not supporting Carolina.

That's fine but why are all these other WR's having tremendously more success than XL? AT, Jalen Coker, TMac, etc.

The issue isn't completely Bryce here, it's XL.

Now, would he be better with a better QB and a better system? For sure. But he also wouldn't be seeing much of the field in a lot of those other "better" scenarios because those teams do a far better job of evaluating talent and calling offenses.

🤣🤣🤣 Adam Thielen has not had "tremendous success"

Even TMAC has been directly thrown under several buses for not hauling in Bryce Young's at time poorly placed passes.

Bryce on that touchdown throw to Coker was one of the best I've seen and what I expect to see. THAT is the ball placement we need from our starting QB if we are going to win this division.

We’d have more patience if he had a few 150 yard games or a 200 + yard game. Bryce has had some elite games unlike XL. I still believe XL can be a major contributor.

He would not be a big cap hit liability, but then we really need to move up the wr position in the draft or fa.

100% at least bring him to all the OTAs, mini, and TC......and if he's not among the top 6 WRs, move on with the trade/cut.

I also feel another QB would help his career. I know for a factor last year and this year, he's WIIIIIDDDDDEEEEE open on a few plays each week, just BY either doesn't see or isn't looking or already threw to another option.

Run first and Tmac getting like 80% of the targets......sanders, Coker, XL, swing passes to Rico/Chubba, Evans.....there's only one ball......
