last time they loaded the box, shut down the run and forced BY9 to beat them, we saw the result of that. So what can we do this time to beat them? I suspect it's going to require a lot of short / intermediate passes with TE play to help

I think a W this week and the rest of the games is squarely on our shoulders and depends on it we can get on the same page answering one vital question:

Do we try to convince our guys that they are 17 point underdogs for each game?

OR

Convince them that, despite the uniforms, the opposing team is actually the Atlanta Falcons?

    • Yeah I’m surprised this isn’t mentioned more  We’ve got STOMPED the last two years in NO. The Saints looked pretty good yesterday and Shough is definitely no slouch We don’t match up well with them or the Bucs tbh
    • I asked in Person’s mail bag last season about who did the Texas surgery and who did the 2nd one and he never addressed it. Now there is finally something.    Glad a different surgeon was used.    And I disagree that he should not have been used last year. If he hadn’t we probably don’t have Dowdle, and are surprised when the knee fails - which it was going to do if it wasn’t right.  So we tested his knee last year and found out what we had, and had no 2025 surprises.  That was the right move. Unfortunate outcome but left us in a much better position to make adjustments.
    • The Bucs have been struggling badly as of late so the Aints beating them doesn’t really say much about the Aints being any good. Even Shough (or however you spell it) wasn’t even good and the Bucs still beat themselves. We beat ourselves in the first matchup. If we can take down the Rams the Aints should be easy for us if we’re locked in and dialed in and guys don’t overlook them or assume it’ll be a gimme like last time. And need Bryce to not be absolutely awful like he was in the first matchup. But I do feel good about this game coming off the bye, I think we’ll finally get a convincing win with all 3 phases playing well (Atlanta blowout was good but the O really didn’t do much that game).    Hopefully we take care of business as we should and the Falcons can spoil the Bucs this Thursday so we can see what this team is made of at home in a couple weeks. I’m still very very far from sold on Canales/Morgan, despite the surprisingly solid year we’ve had so far. Bryce I am sold on not being the answer, but the more Canales can get out of him the more confidence I’ll have that he can help us develop a true franchise QB
