Yup unless you're in a dome... Bryce is pretty good in domes, lol. But I do agree on sticking with the run.

He is just so weird.  Bryce Young makes no sense.  I still don't like the word inconsistent because that's not it.  I do think there is a lot of consistency in what he is.  I don't know.

and in theory, I think Bryce should be better indoors.  But his indoor games are so slim even that is hard to figure out.  As good as he has been in Atlanta, he is equally bad in the Saints dome.

Not really sure he should...

After the prior game, I'd probably expect a more balanced WCO type approach.

Last game was 23 rushes and 25 passes. Thats balanced. The criticism was not going downfield.

Last time he stuck with the run, very stubbornly, and people were pissed off. We thought, or some of us thought, he did not want it in Bryce’s hands until it absolutely had to be. Like after we went down 10 late.

The players need to execute because I don’t think he will do that again if it is just running into a wall.

Yeah I am saying it will be on the players more than whatever the strategy is.

The focus of criticism the first game was not pushing it downfield to prevent NO from stacking the box.

Bryce hasn't been pushing the ball downfield in a lot of wins.  I think that's basically how lose games.  Asking that of him.  Not sure why people want to lose a game we can win with the proven hide Bryce most of the game and win ugly approach.

and people sort of skew the Rams came up.  he did not push the ball downfield nor was he asked in that game.  It was the same thing as the Saints game.  There were just 2 random 4th all or nothing plays that present take shot gambles

Not from me...

WCO was designed to respond to high pressure. In the face of what the Saints were doing, SOP would have been to run draws, screams, misdirection, etc.

Canales just kept going back to the same well.

Canales as OC, of course is impactful

…but it is Bryce Young’s performance, consistent or inconsistent, that is going to determine this

Some things are true

1. the division knows Canales and Evero

2.  The bucs wiill score points as long as Mayfield is upright and Evan’s is on the field    The Saints are ascending with their rookie qb

3.  the panthers will attempt to run the ball and the saints will do as they did before, will the run succeed,I don’t know

But it is Young that must perform

he  absolutely has to hit his reads

He cannot be timid, slow starting and  shrink in games like this

Let’s be real and admit that Shough thoroughly  outplayed Young in the first game by a long shot

as with all nfl games, the QB is the cog in the wheel.  Not the whole wheel, but the cog that gives the wheel a chance

these next 4 games, tells the franchise if they truly have a franchise qb   What will it tell, I truly don’t know  I’m rooting for him

People just emotional about a loss.  Thats a winning gameplan.  Jayce Horn of all people giving up those 2 TDs just imploded it.   Which doesn’t make it a bad plan because who would have called that.

a repeat of the last NO gameplan is a 1000% better a better gameplan than the 49ers gameplan.  And the NO gameplan was the Rams gameplan and Packers gameplan

I understood it. A lot of people didn’t. Lost patience and sight of the reality, which was we were only 3 points down for all those three and outs. If you put it in Bryce’s hands and he makes a mistake we are down two scores quick.

To paraphrase Greg Cosell: the way you have to play with Bryce Young.
This 4 game stretch is gonna be interesting. Up until three games ago we had bad Bryce more often than good Bryce. Then he plays 2 of his 3 best ever games and that’s it? No more bad Bryce? Or what is it gonna be?

Can he stick with a fox ball?  Run run run to set up the pass?  This is going to be the real question.  We know the panthers are a run first team. Can he… remember to run it over and over?

Thankful you are not bitachin and crying non-stop like before, that got old fast..... Welcome back and enjoy the wacky win/loss ride!

Keep Pounding!!
