Canales is holding us back

It isn’t Canales. It’s Bryce. It’s our draft strategy. To adequately utilize the receivers we drafted, you need a Joe Burrow style of QB, not Bryce. Bryce would thrive with a room like the Chiefs have. They even called him mini-Mahomes when he was drafted yet refuse to build the same style of offensive personnel.

Not even talking about Bryce. His in game recognition and adjustments are staggeringly slow. He's not seeing the whole picture because he's focused too much on calling plays. He needs to concentrate on being a HC. He's not good enough to do both.

Bryce may suck but Kellen Moore thoroughly pants'd Canales in both meetings. And Moore was someone we brought in and said "no thanks", just like Steichen and Harbaugh. Tepper has zero eye for identifying football talent.

That said, Canales deserves another year, but he has to show improvement next year

Kellen Moore is a very good coach.

Maybe the dog poo play calling, especially the 4th down!

I don't take any issue with the 4th down call. He's always been aggressive, which is how he should be. It just didn't go our way this time. Overall we've had a good amount of success on 4th down this year so I don't blame him. A field goal from that spot was far from a sure thing.

It's obvious at this point. When NO rookie QB's can make throws into the middle of the field for first down after first down, but our 3rd year QB gets these weird play calls that can't find a single person open, it's not on Bryce. It's obviously coaching. So tired of this poo.

NEVER FORGET!!!!

Canales was on no one's radar. Tepper couldn't get anyone to come here. He was all in on Ben Johnson. Nobody wants to work with Tepper, however Canales tenure may prove important for the next guy. This guy still has no idea what he's doing.

I've seen enough tape review to see that we run crossers...we have dudes in the middle of the field. I have to think that this is a harder area for someone of Bryce's stature to hit. You have to see directly over the center of the line and is probably where the most interceptions happen (he has thrown a LOT of his picks by not seeing a dude in the middle of the field).
