Losing yesterday eliminated us from the playoffs. The Panthers will not beat Seattle and will be lucky to beat the Bucs at home. Its already over, its just waiting on the final nails in the coffin.

Have you even watched this team this year?  They will beat the Bucs and Seattle as home dogs. Tampa will then boat race us in the final game of the year and we will miss the playoffs after the 3rd or 4th tie breaker.

It's hard to beat a good motorboat.

Yes. We have to win 2 and the Bucs have to lose 2, doesn't matter which way it happens. That's why losing yesterday was such a colossal let down.

Got it. So the only way we get in with a split is beating  Seattle and they lose to the dolphins

How would you rate this season compared to last year?

Some very good improvements.

Did they take a step foward or not?

They took more than 1 step forward.

Did Bryce improve?

Yes, greatly.  Can he keep improving?  Defensive coaching needs to improve.

Honestly depends on what we do this offseason.

If we option or extend Bryce, I consider it a massive failure of a season. He hasn't shown enough for either. I think we've seen enough from DC to know he isn't HC material but cant move on yet due to firing to many HCs. Evero is likely out of here after how he was treated by Tepper. Dalton needs to retire by choice or by force. XL needs to commit to football or find a new hobby with TikTok. We've got a lot of work to do and it's starts with brutal evaluation of job performance from GM down.

I agree with it all.

Either sweep them

Or beat Seattle and have them lose to miami.

Not likely

This season has been a success.

We're clearly still early in our complete rebuild (thanks Fitterer) and have holes across the roster (mostly on the defensive side of the ball).

Has Young improved? Not a lick. Canales has hidden his flaws with his play calling, treating him like a backup QB.

Evero has been excellent again.

Huge improvement! Defense alone is enough to call it that. Big step forward with such a young team and so many new faces. That usually takes time. Bryce hasn't really improved from the end of last season. Took him 12 games to finally throw the ball deep. Canales is... better. Love his aggressive style of playcalling. Still takes too long to make the right decision regarding personnel. But he seems to have a plan for everyone on the field. Will it work is yet to be seen - looking at you XL. Evero is inconsistent and too conservative. I just really don't like his defensive philosophy, but the defense is much improved. Players or coaching? They're still improved so have to give him that.

About as bad as last year. Wins over the Jets, Dolphins, and Falcons twice are unimpressive wins, beating a Cowboys team that was pretty banged up was an ok win, then we managed to surprise 2 teams that figured they could just win by showing up.

Outside of the falcons week 3 win (where Penix was unspeakably bad) and the Jets win, all of our other wins have come by 3 points... Meanwhile, we have lost games by 16, 5, 29, 31, 10, 11, and 3....

If like 5 plays this season had gone differently, we are a 2 win team. We have had last year's Chiefs type luck in 1-score games and still won't finish above .500. When we regress to the mean next year with 1 score games, we will likely be back to 4-5 wins
