Bryce Young is the first Panthers QB to throw for 20+ touchdowns in a season since Cam Newton in 2018.

was talking career stats.  i have watched him for 3 years hope he proves me wrong but his career average is who he is in my eyes a below average nfl qb.  and his stats this year compared to all nfl qbs shows him as a below average nfl qb.

47 tds to 28 ints. You know these numbers are public right?

Which is great for being in games late, not great for fans.

But you know what? The only teams the Panthers have really struggled hard with this year are AFC. If we can get to the playoffs, and get a home playoff game, I firmly believe we could get to the Championship. We’ve beaten both the Rams and Packers, each of which we’d play in the divisional most likely.

And the saints, we wont have to worry about playing them in the playoffs though.

Yeah, it’s just one of those quirky season.  I do sort of chalk it up to sort of that Steve Wilks respectable window.  It’s not really a plan to be good.  But with some help you can end up respectable.

I do expect the offense to fall back to earth next year if everything stays the same.
It is kinda like how the Panthers and even now the Chiefs won in the past.
Winning many close, coin flip games.
It never lasts from season to season usually.

Yes and 22 fumbles losing 12.  and looking at just this year he is 20th in yards , 16th in passing tds, 21st QBR.  16th is middle of the nfl , with several big name qbs injured most of the year that would normally be above him.  He has had horrible games this season and better games this season .  His last few weeks he has been trending in the right direction.  He shows out and wins next 2 games for the panthers and wins a playoff game I will eat my words and return to say you are correct he is a great nfl qb, but at this point in time he has had probably 6 really good games in his 3 year career.

Bryce is playing winning football for us, it seems sometimes impossible to blow teams out with our gameplan and his inability to truly push the ball deep. That seems to have a ceiling on how deep and great this team could be, but it's nice to see him make plays out there. He clears 200 yds easy if XL is an actual professional receiver which he isn't.

Again how is his fault Darnold is a terrible QB???? Your just proving my point Robbie was able to produce with Teddy and not Darnold, Robbie was more productive with Josh Mccown than Darnold LOL, that’s how terrible Darnold was in NY and Carolina

i don’t give a a crap about yac/r the tape doesn’t lie, Tmac does not get separation like DJ, he’s not as fast as DJ and opposing defenses never double or bracket cover him like DJ. DJ was the ultimate stat inflator for Darnold and Teddy, he would literally take 2 yard hitch pass for 40 yards. Tmac can’t do that.

Yep Darnold is terrible, so terrible in fact that he has led not one but two teams to the playoffs in back to back years.....

So terrible the Vikings fell off a cliff with the only major difference being no darnold.

He was warming up throwing rainbows from the 50 yard line and hitting TMac and Coker on the goal line in stride. I would say 50 yards is a safe bet. He wasnt putting everything into the throws eithef. I had to do a double take to see who was throwing them.

Upon looking it up, Bryce Young has had 0 games of 1 TD 1 turnover this season. His last three games account for 6 TDs and 0 turnovers.

Crazy, honestly.

Well he did lose to the worst team in the division for  a second time there.... a game that would have the division clinched right now.

Honestly if they adress the pass rush and LB postions along with a new DC the defense could easily take anther big step forward.

I hate to agree with you, but XL clearly has not lived up to his draft status. He's had a couple of good games. I'd loved to see him make a huge leap forward in his 3rd season (like Bryce has in 2025), but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't think it's a stretch to say our offensive production would not be drastically affected if he were not on the roster in 2026. Check out the below data.

XL (2024-2025): 80 rec/835 yards/ 7 TDs.  He's on pace to finish with less than 450 yards this season

TMAC: 65 rec/924 yards/7 TDs with 2 games remaining in his rookie season.

We could probably find a WR on Day 2 of the draft to replace those stats. Jalen Coker would have better stats if he hadn't missed so many games due to injury this season.

I hope for everyone's sake he pulls everything together in year 3. If not , you pretty much have to decline the 5th year option and move on to the next guy.

We’re a ball control offense. If the defense isn’t getting off the field and the offense is killing the clock, we won’t get many possessions.

We are 22nd in scoring %.  Saying we are a ball control offense doesn't change anything.  It's a low ceiling offense that doesn't produce much offense.   And it's not very efficient or good w/ the opportunities it does have (22nd in scoring %)

I mean, getting to 8 wins is really crazy.  I mean props to Canales but that's just not a working formula going forward.

When this season ends, we need our front office to really acknowledge the overachieving and sort of flukiness of this season.  We got a lot of work to do still.
