It's going to take something dramatic to break Tepper's heart though. You know he is cozy right now in his smugness and confidence that "see, he was right all along, and owning a winning team, being the mastermind architect behind the turnaround, and a having a 'face of the league player' isn't so hard after all."

Well, not hard for someone like him anyway.

Pick it up and his trade value goes up, especially if he makes a run into the playoffs.

There's enough mystery there as to has the coaching been holding him back or has it been his physical portion.

There's going to be a coach or GM out there that's going to look at Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, look at the Panthers organization, and think Bryce might be worth a flyer if there's a two year inexpensive tryout period. 

Maybe the Vikings, Dolphins or even Pittsburgh. Might even be a hail Mary attempt from Phoenix.

And maybe we do it and stick with him after a really strong showing in the playoffs, if we get there. 

The biggest problem is that Bryce has had some pretty good performances, just enough to make a front office wonder, but we've also had some really dud coaching games, too. So is Bryce the problem or is it our coaching and game planning. 

Hell, we don't even know, so other teams probably are looking at it and seeing that while the odds aren't good, there's a heck of a payoff if they are right.

I’ll say this….20 Million for one season will not cripple this team long term and should not alter any future plans of signing/drafting another QB. This should not anger fans because it’s a low risk move other than the cap for that one year (when top QB’s are above 50 million). A long term deal would cause riots at this point, bur 5th year option isn’t really a big deal to me

Picking up the 5th year option for this horrible QB is one of the dumbest decisions this stupid organization will make. He doesn’t deserve it. He is a horrible QB. He make the offense worse just by being on the field.

Bro you don’t pick up the fifth year option and hedge. Thats not how this works.

Hunter Refrow in theory could potentially set a NFL record for most postseason yardage to a WR.  I mean from a technical aspect, it exists as a possibility still in play.

I’m good with this. We need to take a development guy who can sit a year in the draft and picking up the 5th means we don’t do something dumb like sign him long term for 50M this year.
