Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

I wouldn’t say he played poorly either.  I would say, like most games, he was largely irrelevant for the majority of it.   Thats Bryce.

Only QB in the NFL that could walk through an airport and not have a single person know who he is or that he plays NFL QB.

Sounds like Bryce “1000x worse than Randy Hedberg” is to blame!

Wtf are you even talking about. Bowles didn't rely on Baker. He relied on his running game because they were chewing us up. Baker made some key throws under pressure to avoid sacks and didn't screw up the finish. It was obvious what the game plan was with our limp dick offense. Chew up the game clock because we can't put points on the board in chunks.

The worst actual quarterback this franchise has ever committed to beyond a trial run or backup.

Anyone who hasn't reached this conclusion is in denial at this point.

go "actual" back to bed .........

Bryce Young has the lowest yards per attempt besides Kerry Collins, the lowest adjusted net yards per attempt, the lowest touchdown rate, the highest sack rate, the fewest passing touchdowns per game, the lowest offensive points per game while starting, and the second-worst career passer rating among all Panthers quarterbacks who started at least two seasons

It's not even a debate unless you point to Collins who would take shots on the bench

Are these all real stats because that is really bad. Bryce Young is so soft. At least Kerry Collins would go out on a limb with a hard r once in a while. Heyyo!

He was our entire offense - we averaged 1.4 yards per carry with a long run of 5 yards. He threw for more yards and touchdowns than Baker. How was he "irrelevant" for the majority of it?

Please tell me what the Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young did….when 6 minutes were still remaining in the 4th quarter.

we had 7 points on the board.  Largely the product of a big play by the defense that put the ball on the Tampa 19.

so yeah, like most weeks, Bryce Young was irrelevant for the majority of the game.   Everything you would say about him would be fixated on the very end of game.

* Bryce also logged 100+ yards passing and a TD in that closing 6 lol.  Thats where he “outperformed Baker”.  Baker’s QBR was almost double Bryce’s on the day.

A third of Bryce’s yards came on a screen behind the LOS and a 4th down miracle blimp that would have been a TD with an nfl caliber qb. And that was against an exhausted 3rd string db in the 4th quarter.

the Bucs played 8 in the box all day. Don’t talk to me about the weather everyone does this to him.

Bryce threw one pathetic interception and made a business decision on a fumble.

TD pass was on a blown coverage

he’s fuging trash

Can’t pie anymore today, this pretty much sums it up. It’s too bad they won’t realize this, he will be here next year and the year after.

Let’s try to be accurate and honest here…

He is bottom 3rd.  Which is where every single offense and pass game has been since he arrived.  No different this year.

we are still searching to get to middle of the road offense

Exactly. Hell, I wish Bryce WAS mid tier, because mid tier QB play has us at 10-12 wins right now. Bryce is fuggin terrible bottom 5 QB EVERY year.

Young was irrelevant for most of the game. He scored a TD when Rozebloom returned an interception inside Tampa’s red zone. We didn’t score another point until under 3 minutes left in the game and the game was basically over. The Young led offense did nothing until it was too late except for getting gifted an extremely short field by the D.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
