Ekwonu with probable significant knee injury….

Same folks who will get ultra defensive over the QB will be the first to trash our left tackle who had to get carted off for an injury.

Maybe a move inside would do him good. Who knows what the future holds just yet.

So, I had to work and missed 90% on the game.
Anyone mind telling when this happened?  Did they have to play a lot without him?
I hate it for him especially so late in the year, that is really going to impact us next year.

Him and Hunt both got hurt and the running game actually came to life with them out. The scheme looked much better letting Bryce roll out and do his thing. Not saying we are better off without Ickey but today, in this game, the offensive line to me looked better with him out.

It's fitting for the team with a black cat as its logo that we finally get into a playoff game and we lose a key player so early in the game. And we'll pay the price for that in 2026 since I doubt he'll be ready for quite a while.

Icky had a great year. He played the last couple games hurt, but he has looked like a solid LT for us. Obviously we need to get his knee checked out but he earned an extension in my book.

I'd be weary Paying a LT that had a significant knee injury and won't even play next year. Who knows how good he'll even be after this injury, and he already had problems with speed rushers. Terrible situation for everybody because now that's one extra move we have to make to replace him.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
