The Panthers are hiring Darrell Bevell as associate head coach/offensive specialist, per sources. 

A longtime respected NFL assistant, Bevell brings a wealth of experience to Dave Canales’ staff as Carolina aims to take the next step.

Needed someone, so I'm at least happy that the team made the move and didn't let Canales continue down the same path. Bevell has worked with short QBs and limited QBs, so, welcome home!

Well, they now have a person they could credibly reassign play calling to, if it becomes an issue that rises to the level where that type of move is being called for.

 

He is the guy that called the Malcom Butler pass play at the goal line in the SB. Which will live in infamy.

This is a really good move imo
