You folks should check JJ and Luke's latest podcast. They talk a lot about the LBs in this draft. I'll let you take a guess at who's Luke's favorite.

It was an interesting watch.

What I retained and never really thought that deeply about was the 30-visits that occur. Hearing Luke explain how little time teams truly have deep diving and connecting with prospects at the combine makes more sense now.

Those 1-on-1s in-person at the facility without all the noise of Indy and pro days can help teams figure out team fit a bit more.  He mentioned how the prospect talks to the security guard, the driver that picks them up at the airport, etc. are little insights into someone’s character.

Knowing how important culture is with Dave and Dan, I’d have tot think our first two days of selections will be top-30 visits.

I learn a lot from those two. Those 30 visits are very informative for the team. I would say there is a good chance that they have their first 3 picks locked in. Getting them however is a whole other story. I just don't see how Rodriguez lasts until their second pick. The first pick is still a mystery to me.

I thought it was funny that Luke was like " Dont draft this guy "....

Luke is like peppers, he's a different thinker....my god if they got the right coaching or people around them before the NFL......all records would fall......maybe its a great thing neither "found" the drive or anger to be one of the chosen record setters.

Its hard to picture Luke what he was, he's like a camp church helper that facilitates cabin life to the youth for his remaining life.

Devin Achane is rumored to be up for trade, he'd be a fantastic tandem with Chuba. Wouldn't want to give up anything, but maybe they'd just send him for free. I'll see if I can convince them.

Tandem? Achane is so much more talented it’s not even funny. Chuba would be the backup to Achane, period.

Obviously the new FO has only been in charge for a couple years but they have not broken from past trends.

The Rams are way down the list and they crush drafting.  Browns are #1  and they suck at drafting.  All I can see this chart worthy of the ability of people to predict draft picks of teams better higher on the list than teams lower on the list.

I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
