We have more draft so it will be nice to see what they will prioritize going forward.

my only gripe is how it’s being spinned that he’s walker, moton, ickey insurance. Obviously we don’t know who we will selected with the remainder of our picks, but isn’t that how the Vernon butler pick was also spinned ? I would hope( and I believe the staff believes this) freeling has a chance to take over the starting job this year and he’s an improvement over a good but inconsistent ickey and free agent Rasheed Walker, which off of talent alone, he has the ability to do.

but the fan in me will compare lemon and thieneman’s success to freelings going forward .

The Steelers were going to take Lemon at 21, that's why the Eagles traded up...I generally trust both their drafting skills over ours lol.

Give me a break. UGA has one of the most "gimmicky" offenses i've ever seen since their QB is very limited as a passer. The ball was out immediately on almost every pass. When UGA did the traditional 3 step drop, routes that take longer to develop etc, his pass blocking leaves a lot to be desired if you watch his film closely, which 99% of the posters loving the pick haven't done. That's fine if you haven't watch him play, but the people who have watched him play have the right to their opinion. Its a message board. He didn't go up against any great pass rushers. Average run blocker. There's a lot of unknowns with this kid that makes it a risky selection. He's truly a boom or bust prospect. Everyone on here assumes he's going to reach his ceiling when in reality that rarely happens with "potential" prospects.

TD and Shwartz pointed out that georgia runs a pro offense. I'll take their opinion ever a flag football coach

You have to first be good to become perennially good.  I think it's a big assumption to say that we are in a position to start making luxury picks like OT when we have many other positions that have massive room for improvement.

Well we refuse to try and improve QB, so I'm ok with taking high ceiling projects.

Why you assume I haven’t watched Georgia football?

Youd think our scouts have ankle bracelets and have to be home by dark as a condition of their parole.

Or their travel vouchers aren't covering much.

I've often said we should look to grabbing guys who grew up and played in the south so they'll be adjusted to the heat and humidity we can have during training camp and the early part of the season. It  can be brutal for these big guys, especially. And yeah, I know, the winter games arrive eventually, but you can always put on some extra clothes, but you can only take off so many.

flag are you just stirring shiit as a contrarian, its killing the draft vibe......

at bare min, take a break.......

Fair enough. I just don't like the petty insults. I'll do it right back to people if done to me first. I was just stating my opinion. At least I'm on record for not liking the pick. It's not the position, it's the player. I'll gladly eat my crow if I'm wrong. Hopefully I am. Peace! I'm out.

He is a character I’ll give him that. I hope he has it inside him enough that he doesn’t lose his confidence when the big boys start testing him. Because they will.
