New coaching staff has no loyalties

Hurney is the one with the final call on signings, not anyone else. I'm sure that he is more than influenced by the coaches opinion and wishes, and I'm sure that a lot of the cut's had to do with the coaches appraisals of the players. To assume, however, and Hurney doesn't have a say on who we sign is beyond stupid.

OH NOES!!!!! Personal attacks!
directed at who? i quoted no one and called out no one, I made a general statement. you cannot make a personal attack if you do not attack a person in a personal way.

I made a true statement indirectly towards a group of people. thus not personal in nature.

To be honest, loyalty is a novel concept on most coaching staffs.

It was one of Fox's weaknesses that he was overly loyal to vets - even beyond when they were performing - and distrustful of rookies.

From what I've seen of Rivera, I think he has all the "loyalty" of a mafia godfather.

I suspect the coaching staff don't do much recruitment and mostly thumbs up or down choices given to them by the scouting department/ I suspect they all are following some guys and hoping they end up on the waiver wire so they can ****** them. And then there are the vets who are considered free agents. I can't believe we won't sign a player or two.

As for loyalty to former panther players, it would be the scouts and Hurney who would be bringing them in, not the coaches. Would they like a guy like Hangartner. Who wouldn't really. I doubt he has lost his skills and gotten worse in the past couple of years. If not, then he would be more than serviceable as a starter and surely a rotational guy. Did I make this up or was he able to play center as well?

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
