maybe i'm reading your post wrong, but...

the past 4 games without stewart, williams has averaged 3.9 ypc.

in the 6 games that stewart has missed all season, williams has a 3.6 ypc average.

Does anyone know the details on Stewarts Option bonus? I know he got around 9 million in a Signing Bonus, Then another 9 million on an option bonus due in 2014. Another 6 million of his contract isn't earned yet. He can be cut with a hit of around 7.2 million, it does cost the team 4.4 million next year but saves the team the 9 million option in 2014 and around 27 million over the next 5 years. If they split it over two seasons it looks a lot better. Williams getting cut makes a lot of sense as well.

A possibility that Stewart might be out because his contract is easier to get rid of by the looks of it. Getting rid of Stewart and Williams now would save the team over 50 million dollars over the next 4-5 years. Leaving Tolbert, Smith and Poole left on the team. Gets the team some extra money to help rebuild the team in some critical areas, add that to Anderson, Beason, Gross and Gamble's deals being reworked or released and it might fix the cap issues in a year or two.
