He is exactly what we were needing all along...  We have our #2 receiver, aside from Olsen.

and I'm somewhat surprised (ok, not really) by this 2nd page of posters claiming Ginn can't run routes or making excuses..  You OBVIOUSLY have missed out.  And Ginn only has 7 catches because Cam missed out quite often when Ginn was running solid routes and getting wide open on the other 40% of the route tree you claim he didn't run.

But. . .but. . .Kaepernick is better? Harbaugh surely wouldn't let a speedy wideout get away when his team would desperately need one to take pressure off Boldin after Crabtree went down, right?

I'm sure if it were up to the coach they would keep as many weapons in the arsenal as they possibly can but GM's have to make decisions about who to keep around.

Crabtree tore his Achilles two months after Ginn signed with the Panthers.

Ginn was cheap. They didn't want him, or use him (which is on the coach, not the GM.)

Peterson's opposite number on the Cardinals is Jerraud Powers.

I pull for Jerraud a lot since he's one of my Auburn boys.

But this weekend I hope we torch him.

(P.S. As most CB's from the Tuberville era at Auburn were, Powers is really really good at coming up in run support. Not hesitant one little bit in sticking his nose in there.)

i'm going to die laughing if he ends the year with close to or around 1k yards and 6-8 tds.

all on a 1 year 1 mill contract for a guy that was given up on teams because they didn't have a qb that can take advantage of his speed (arm strength).

What a steal if that happens.

I could absolutely see it. Cam and ginn are just beginning to gel. When they finally do it's going to be a beautiful thing.

I hope we offer him a new contract before the season ends, something like 3 yrs/5 mil

    • Ehlers needs to sit. Definitely can't lose him to a meaningless game.
    • Bet didn't hit because the referee missed 3 clear corner kicks. I had a 5k parlay that would have been alive tomorrow if he didn't miss those calls as well. Super annoying
    • I don't think it's at all a given that we have players who are good at driving the basket. I guess that depends on your definition. Bridges is 43rd in attempts in the paint Miller is 64th and LaMelo is 66th. We all love to see the lob threat but it's largely miniscule at this point in time. There's gotta be a solution here if LaMelo is to be the centerpiece because this is simply not sustainable if we want to continue to ascend. If he can't drive to the basket then that means we need to add another player to the core who consistently can. That would require moving someone like Miles Bridges. And that's certainly not going to be popular with LaMelo but something has to give here for what we are investing and we need to maximize guys like Miller and Knueppel on rookie deals while we still can. The three chucking is fine when it's working where the issue comes into play is there are no adjustments when it isn't and we just go into a shell and begin to look like the Hornets of yesteryear. That's why the offensive evolution of all involved is critical to us taking the next step. Getting to the play in is nice but we should have our sights set much higher. Right now though they need to take care of business against the Heat. All I ask is that they at least beat those fools. I cannot stand the Heat.
