What will Gettleman tell JR?

Last year around this time, the Panthers were cancelling any plans they had for making the playoffs and JR asked Marty Hurney why we were losing.  It was reported that Hurney's answer was "I don't know", and that those three words pretty much cost him his job.

 

I imagine this week JR will ask Gettleman the same thing.  What's he going to hear?

Time to do it the Gettletrain way.

 

I think its one last overhaul..  but lets see what Gettleman can do with his own poo in place.

 

 

 

 

 

Hurney's stink is still very much present and its time to clean up his stink. not just cover it up with De-0. Oven cleaner.

I don't trust Jerry to do the right thing. All we can hope for is Gettleman does, in fact, know what he is doing and knows how to build a winner, and that Jerry will give him the authority to do it. I'm not yet sure that either one of these expectations will hold true.

As a fan of the game, he should..But he wont. He is getting paid good to do whatever his job is. Just like your current job, if you got a huge promotion and had more money than ever before, you would do whatever was asked/expected. If your boss still wanted to run the show and have his way, you wouldnt care since you were bank rolling. That is just the business of the game.

I'll say this about Gettlemen, the free agents he brought in on the cheap have done pretty well.   Ginn, Cole, Mitchell, and Blackburn have all been pivotal.  Granted some didn't pan out but that's expected.

 

He has a good eye for talent and there actually seems to be a long term plan in place.  Hopefully we will begin to see that unfold.

 

But to answer the question I'd imagine he'd pop in a cigar and say, "it's all part of the plan."

      He isn’t but looking at what those guys are getting paid, paying him what he’s making now wouldn’t have been terrible, they should have and still should be looking at pairing some guys with brown to form a pretty dominant d line

      The Bryce hate is nearly laughable.  He looked like garbage the first two games, but has really, really shown improvement and growth.  People who know football are taking notice.  Will Bryce ever be Arron Rodgers, Farvre, Manning or any other hotshot gunslinger?  No, but I think he is a smart football player who has survived a lot more than most other QB's would have after 2.5 years.  So long as this injury doesn't linger I think you will see legitimate growth over the next two years, with a big leap coming next season. Reich and Brown not working together, Duce causing trouble behind the scenes.  Starting WR's of Mingo and Chark.  No legitimate scheme for the OL.  Fitterer's general incompetence. An owner who was desperate for attention.  How did Zac Wilson, Mariota, Winston, Tribuski, Rosen, Lawarence, Fields, Jones, Pickett, and Richardson fair after 2.5 years?  We see what happens when the Texans have not given Stroud the support. The 2018 draft had great talent, they just needed to mature, hell we wasted two of the top three drafted that year.  Outside of Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, or Drake Maye, I'm not sure I really would want any other 1st round QB drafted in the past 10 years? RELAX......  Bryce is our guy as we grow as a team.  The only other option I currently see is maybe a buy low draft pick on Drew Allar if he falls to the third round or lower. Bryce is going to be extended.  He won't get Prescott money which would benefit our team going forward.  A mid range extension like Darnold or Baker got may be just the thing this team needs to keep growing.
