PFF ranks Ginn higher than Smitty

let's be real here.  2 spots isn't enough.  I expect this gap to widen considerably by the end of the season.  Ginn gets better every week.

 

Smitty at his age can run with the young guys, he just can't run past the young guys anymore.

I love Smitty but he hasn't played that well this year.  Noticeable drops and just isn't getting open.

Smith has pretty quickly become really a short possession WR.

That is what he is currently.

At this point yes, but I expect Smith to be back on top at season's end.

smith is more talented, but ginn is doing better. he's got less drops, i believe, than smitty.

 

doesn't surprise me that he's ranked higher.

 

i think smitty has more attention on him from better defenders so there's that, but they don't keep him from dropping the ball when cam gets it in his hands. but you put the same defenders and attention on ginn that smitty gets and ginn does worse than smith.

I would take Smith going against opposing team's No. 3 corner.

Ginn has been playing better easily.  It's not a knock on Smith, but a compliment for Ginn.  No one expected him to be more than a return guy.  

 

Smitty is basically what Hines Ward was in the twilight of his career(a little better though).
