The Suck Bowl: Patriots vs Seahawks

Worst Super Bowl matchup for me in recent memory. We either get to hear more constant overhyping stroking of Wilson or constant stroking of Brady. Brady already has his rings and is going to get stroked no matter what. I guess the lesser of the evils is Brady. I wouldn't be able to stand the HOF talk of Wilson if the Seahawks win.

While I'm not thrilled that Dan Quinn is probably going to land in Atlanta, I'm kind of glad that the staff changeup in the NFC West has been brutal for those teams. I'm sick of this division and I'm sick of running into that brick wall in Seattle. It's about time they all got their coaches poached.

Overhyping a young QB with back to back SB or overhyping one of the best QBs of all time win yet another championship?

You sure you're not just overbitching?

I should say over stroking of Brady. He's not over hyped.

And it's no lie that the Hawks have relied mostly on Lynch and the D to get them where they are.

In NE Brady is mostly the reason why they've been dominate for so long and won SBs.

    • I mentioned this in another thread but i'll restate it here. Keeping a wait and watch approach and passing on the 5th year option kinda makes sense like obliquely, but in practice neither the team or the player wants it. The player doesn't want to risk injury when he could have at least another year locked up, and the team doesn't want to risk the player blowing up in their fourth year and holding the team over the barrel. If you're the QB and you're playing that well you obviously test the free agent market, and you'd probably be bitter about it as well.  modern first round qb contracts are essentially 3 year deals with the option of an additional 2 to put downward pressure on contract extensions. You either pick up the 5th year, extend with a new contract, or move on.  just sitting tight on the fourth year isn't a practical choice for any of the parties.
    • The point was Miles Sanders wasn't just a guy in Philly. He was at least as good as Chuba has been in Carolina.
    • I have not been impressed with our pass blocking since at least 2022. Still remember watching Darnold live against the Seahawks when we were dominating them in the run game and we still allowed far too much pressure on him regardless. It has not gotten much better since. In fairness to this year's unit, they have been hit by injuries. Oftentimes, even a mediocre overall unit is better than a stacked one if the former stays healthy throughout the entire season. Constant shuffling only means a much greater likelihood someone will blow their assignment and that's all it takes for a sack or worse.
