Ted Ginn leaning towards going home to Cleveland

A reunion with returner/receiver Ted Ginn is one of the more obvious potential moves the Carolina Panthers could make this offseason. He may instead opt for a homecoming.

A source close to Ginn confirmed what many have speculated since he was released by the Cardinals on Monday – the Panthers are interested and have contacted him. But the source also said that Ginn wants to land in his hometown of Cleveland, and the Browns’ interest is mutual.

The Ginns have been one of the first families of football in Cleveland for more than a decade. Ted Ginn, Sr. built Glenville High School into a powerhouse, coaching a handful of future Ohio State stars like his son, 2006 Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and this year’s national title-winning quarterback Cardale Jones.

Yeah obviously he doesn't care about being on a winning team or being an actual WR.

This is bad news, because if we don't land him or Jacoby we're back to the worse ST in the league.  And before someone says "just draft someone" that is far from a proven science, if Joe Adams, Ryne Robinson, etc have proven.

Can't blame him. lol at some of you guys, the Panther aren't that much better than the Browns. And no the Panthers aren't a winning team. Losing record last year, were lucky. Was good year before. Losing records two years prior to that. Panther have a lot to do to be called a consistent 'winning team', we're not there yet.

Browns, Raiders...are worse.

Jags are our twin...

Couple others are aguable.

That's about it, pretty much all the same. If that's his home, he should go there.

    • I'm truly amazed how it seems like this team is just completely unprepared for their opponent week after week. I still think like 80% of our wins this year have happened in spite of DC being our coach - it's our defense/Evero somehow holding opposing teams to like 16 points or less or random games where Rico runs for like 200 yards. At the end of the day, Bryce and DC should both be gone after this year. Sadly, neither will probably happen. I still want to see 1 game where DC calls nothing but deep shots 3/4 of the game so I can at least figure out if Bryce is good at throwing deep balls or if the 1 time we call it per game surprises opponents.
    • At the end of this season, we will have nobody to blame but ourselves. We have 7 losses. 4 to 4 of the best teams in football. That’s going to happen.    3 combined losses to the cards and saints is wuff. Gotta be better. Never know the day that you don’t meet the standard that could bite you in the ass. If we win even one of those games, we’re still in pole position.
    • Ransom didn't have to square him up like that. Dude had a reputation in college as a big hitter. he could have eased up out rolled off the tackle.  He choose the big hit, probably trying to dislodge the ball.  I get the logic in a different scenario, but horrible situational awareness considering the circumstances.
