Hardy to choose between Cowboys and Bucs

Not sure why everyone is afraid of playing Hardy.  As a High School and Middle School soccer coach I tell my players that "One Player does not make a team".  Hardy can be a character, fun to watch, good at what he does, but he is only one man.  Plan accordingly, put pressure on the man - basically do your job and the rest will take care of itself.  If you get to worried about one man as a group - that's when issues arise.

I say let him go wherever he ends up and if we play him we play him.  Its one game and we plan accordingly.  He isn't the first to leave us and then play us and he won't be the last.  Also - to be the best you have to beat the best, right?  So if he is considered one of the best - then wouldn't we WANT to play him?  I know I would.

Just my two cents...

One small hitch in our comp pick for him could be if his suspension from the league is significant. Any suspension limits his snaps for the year and I believe that plays into the comp pick as well (I could be wrong). So if his suspension is big (which I don't think it will be but could be) then that may factor in to our comp pick. As well as the contract amount which has been discussed.

Edit the font size is weird - trying to fix.

He has to play 10 games for us to get a comp pick, so as long as his suspension is less than 6 games we should be fine.

People around here are acting like this FA move is like Reggie White going to Green Bay back in the day. And it just doesn't add up.

Hardy had a fair to good run here, when he was on the field. 2014 should have been his breakout year, but he spent it on the couch, collecting paychecks and working on his mix tape. Do you really think he's going to be in football shape or that he's past making dumb decisions? To get their money's worth out of him, they'll have to have round the clock babysitters with him and conditioning coaches waking him up at 5 a.m. each day.

Let him go. Just wish he'd have left that $13 million on the table for us last year.

Not really that we're afraid (or at least I'm not, I can't speak for the other idiots around here), more that we like Hardy as a player and don't want to have to root against him playing for a division rival. I'm completely fine with him going to the Cowboys even though we play them this year and next year (and possibly, maybe even likely, in the playoffs) because I actually like them more than a lot of other NFC teams, and would be fine with them having success if it doesn't affect us at all. I'd be pissed if he went to the Seahawks because I hate them and of course I wouldn't want him on a division rival. I'd rather he be on some AFC team who I'm completely indifferent to, like the Raiders, Jags, Ravens, etc. Pretty much any AFC team except the Patriots. But I'm fine with playing him this year and next with him in Dallas.
