jadeveon clowney is a bust lol

Honestly feel bad for the guy.  Microfracture surgery is no joke, it's ruined a lot of athletes... and this dude had some amazing potential.

Even if you do recover from it, there's a very big chance you're not going to be the same as you were before you had it.  Clowney might've had his career basically ruined because he tried to force himself to play while injured last year to shut people up calling him a bust.  Texans should've just sat him.

I don't understand the "next JP". Anyone who says that has rose colored glasses. JP was great his rookie year. Has performed well through out his career. Had issues with consistency at times but hell he is still in the league.

Because he was as good a defensive prospect as Peppers was, maybe even better... and Peppers was basically a sure thing.

Clowney didn't even have a rookie season... even those 4 games he played, he shouldn't have.  He was dealing with a legitimate injury, and due to the hype he had the media was hounding him and people were making fun of him, so he played through it and it got a thousand time worse, resulting in needing microfracture surgery.

In case you aren't familiar with microfracture surgery, it's very serious.  It ruined Greg Oden, among many others, and it's the same surgery Beason had before he came back and looked like absolute crap.  We'll probably never even see the real Clowney even if he does come back... probably just be an average player dealing with severe pain his whole career.

    • The Vikings beat the Lions with three (3) net passing yards. Max Brosmer completed 9/16 attempts for 51 yards but got sacked 7 times for 48 yards in the process. They rushed for 158 yards and their D forced 6 turnovers.
    • You are dictating a ‘settle’. Like you can only have one, you can’t have both. Fine if you  can only have one, it isn’t the worst choice. But it is settling by nature because there are people with both.  It is simple, we have limited ourselves by choosing a player who has narrower margins for error than guys with the traditional QB physical attributes that people came to so highly value. And some people are happy about that.  Truth has always been that we made it harder on ourselves than it had to be. As Parcels said, he needs to walk on water. That is expecting a lot. And we now have to feed that beast..    there is a fundamental divide here that will never resolve. Even if he elevates his play.
